The 2016 Spyders are still the sleepers only 5 less HP than the GT4, and only 800 in the US. They still trade at MSRP after 4 years or slightly under. Sold mine for the RS, and didn’t want to move the 458 Spider too many smiles at start up. No regrets the Spyder is a damn good car for what it does, and less than 2900 lbs good car to drive hard.

Among those, there are 162 of slightly used 2018 GT3 for sale in US alone. And the last I checked < 2700 copies of .2 GT3 were sold to the states. Yeah, you can take the comfort this is still under 10%, but have to realize this figure is the initial turnover rate after several months of ownership. You'd think within 4-5 years the overall turnover will be > 50%. The point is, the market of this type of GT toys is more limited than you think and primarily to a small circle of repeat customers. The current production has more than met the "high demand" that is phony and artificial. All these cars will go the route of BMW M2: initially a long waiting list and used copies holding strong resale but BMW smelled the money and flooded the market.

These cars are still not too well known by many. The cat may be out of the bag on the next version and it will likely be pricier as Porsche won't make the same mistake again. Kind of fun to have such a little known secret for those of us that have them. Also fortunate for us that Porsche produced such a limited number of cars.

UPDATE - When adding in 2019 MYs with GT3 and GT3RS trims, the number jumps to 340 used car listings. (CarGurus only)
Looks like Porsche took advantage of the high demand, charged out the nose for PTS and made a nice profit. I would expect this market to reduce the number of flippers and ADM levels for the 992, as some will clearly have been burned.
The wait continues.

You know you can turn off the fake exhaust crackles, at least for in town rev ranges, right? I rarely have the sport exhaust button on. The car sounds fine as is, and when you rev it up, you get the full exhaust sound anyway. But when you slow and drive normally, no stupid backfire crackles. The neighbors like me.

Great thread guys. I am in the market for a GT3 , but after reading this, it seems we are on the brink of a price correction. I was looking at a .1GT3, but for that car, would you wait or pull the trigger now ? Or maybe consider a .2 in the next few months, post 4/15 .....

Me personally it was really about timing for me. At the time I had a 1996 Jeep Cherokee. Very few options. So I went bought a GTS( I had two 2018 GTS’s bc im nuts and traded one in for another one w better options) Kept my Jeep for a daily. Obv the GTS had heated seats , sat radio , etc... kept it for awhile but was missing the raw power that my GT4 had. So eventually I got rid of the 96 Jeep( actually **** the bed) and got a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee w all the nice options. So at this point I said see ya GTS and hello to a GT3. Best move I made. If I never got the new Jeep I would have stayed w the GTS. Dont get me wrong GTS’s are awesome cars. Just missed the raw race feel from the GT4 I had. I did pay ADM and it did sting a lot lol. But I searched for 4 months for a spec I wanted and low and behold it was the dealer down the street from me. Was it a Sign? Idk but bit the bullet and just went for it. I still look online @ the for sale GT3’s and still havnt crossed any w the exact spec I wanted.(But have now) So im glad I didnt hesitate and just went for it. Only live once. Gotta pay to play. Heres pics in order 16 GT4 18 GTS( Silver) then 18 GTS ( White) then 18 GT3. ^^^
