Default Hello from another new member

My name is Wayne and I'm a lifelong car enthusiast from in Los Angeles. I own an Audi R8 V10 and a 991.2 GT3. Just thought I'd say hello and post a pic of my car. It's a manual in GT Silver with black/red interior. The only mods so far are GMG exhaust, clear side markers, Trackspec Autosports LWB recline brackets, and Signature SV902 wheels.

Welcome to the board. Looks like you're slightly lowered as well? We're doing a canyon run at Ortega Hwy this Sunday if it doesn't rain. Let me know if you can make it.

Congrats. GT silver looks so clean with the clear side markers, rims and PCCBs.

Actually it’s stock suspension, maybe the design of the rims and the camera angle makes it look lower. I don’t think I can make it on Sunday, but maybe in the future. I drive Angeles Crest quite often.

I feel like they’re different animals. With the R8, it feels as if Audi engineered into the steering and suspension a layer of maple syrup to make it feel sweet and refined. The GT3 feels more unfiltered and racy, especially with the LWB seats. I love the gated shifter in the R8, but I admit the throws are longer than the GT3. As for sound, the GT3 is louder from inside the cockpit, but I prefer the R8’s tone (it’s hard to beat the sound of a V10).
