How come McL and Ferrari have turbo V8s and weigh the same or less than a P GT car?

scratch that itch. You won’t be disappointed with the 488. It’s a tremendous car. And 488 prices have softened a bit as of late.

I did the same thing, but with a Huracan. I came back to Porsche after a year, lol. No plans to go back to exotic cars as of this moment, since I've been there done that with Lambo, Ferrari doesn't have anything that really gets my blood pumping, and McLaren doesn't really have anything besides the 600lt that might remotely be of interest, but not enough to sway me from Porsche.

Get a 458; the prices aren’t terrible (for Ferrari), you get an NA V8 (better throttle response than the 488), and you get an AMAZING sound track (a million times better than the 488). Yes, the 488 is faster, but in terms of overall feel and character, Ferrari took a step backward with that car.

Never owned one. That’s light, but what’s the weight with fluids? My 997.2 GT3 weighed 2950 lbs (akrapovic race exhaust, PCCB, lwbs) with fluids and 1/3 gas. Could’ve reached low 2900’s with lithium battery. I’m thinking of adding one again or RS version.

I don't know if Catorce is being serious as I think Mclaren's claimed dry weight for the 12c was 1330kg... but your 7.2 gt3 was extraordinary light at 1340kg tbh although I guess the akrapovovic side delete and no roll cage makes it doable. My old 12c (full leather interior, iron rotors, upgraded speakers, cf bucket seats) was 1450kg with a full tank of fuel (~70 litres) and some crap in the boot.

Itches are never cheap to scratch. Ever. But feel so good when you scratch it.

Been there, done that...with a few brands. Always came back to Porsche. Expensive lesson.

My 488 feels like it has a 7 liter big block. Scratch the itch.

It seems like many of the true car guys on this board have to eventually scratch the itch of owning an exotic. Its an expensive lesson to teach you how good a car Porsche makes.

Porsche makes a great car as does mclaren and Ferrari and Lambo. Lots of great choices at lots of price points for everyone.

+1000. I sold a GT3 for a 12C(Biggest POS lemon in the world) then got a 12C spider(better but by then I had no confidence in McLaren and my Dealer). Traded the spider in for a huge loss and got a RS. So glad to be back in a Porsche.

BUT…….. That itch is soooo ITCHY. Lately - I have been drooling a F458 Speciale's. Hopefully it won't be a painful lesson this time.
