As the conversation's started with fellow members I mentioned the issue with my friend, & that's how you know.
I'll take permission from you to get your approval next time before I make a post about my thread.

How on God's green earth can you damage 4th gear due to "Driver error"???????
Shifting from 5th at redline back into 4th? Where are you supposed to do that? At a test track/high speed oval?
In the racing world, usually it is 2nd gear that is toast, typically a "money-shift" from 3rd or 5th back to second. And even then, you have a chance of pushing the clutch back in when you feel the decell happening.

They have no proof and don't know why the transmission has failed. All they know is that it shouldn't of. I believe it's a manufacturing error. I also have a 997 GT2. If I was so retarded I don't know how to drive a manual car, I would of damaged the transmission on that car which has done 4 times the mileage of the GT3 and has been driven much, much harder than the GT3. Then again, the GT3 is a brand new car. Mine is less than a year old and when they checked for over revs they were all within limits. There are no over revs on the car!! This whole story is so ridiculous; the air vents being ordered wrong & now the transmission failure that when I think about my case, if I were to hear it from a friend I wouldn't believe that there are certain Porsche dealers across the world that would allow their customers to receive such a terrible service and have such an experience - especially when that customer has more than 1 high end 911 and is loyal to the brand.

^ The issue is your Dealer- not Porsche I am betting.
Sad to see your Dealer is not fighting for you. Maybe you pissed them off or some thing but that still should not warrant this treatment. Very short sighted but there is always two sides to a story and we are missing one-side.

I'll reach out to a buddy of mine who is high up with Porsche Club UAE and see if he can help out. He has a very good repoir with Ali and Sons.
Have you tried Al Naboodah? Take it to Dubai and see if they can help...?

Hi guys, I am new here on Rennlist and got aware of your thread from the German PFF Porsche forum.
Got some heavy problems with the gearbox wich lead to a mis-shift. I have the problem of a moving shifter in 5th gear. I brought the car to Porsche in May after the problem occured. They said its perfectly normal and no need for action an therefor let me go.
Cheers, Dirk
