they are meant for garage queens and to inflate selling price...

i go for the OEM rubber mats... easy to clean and durable.

I did. but you also did say that your pointy heel poke at it for 700 miles. I know floor mats are suppose to take a beating from shoes, but this is gonna be a little hard to argue. Who knows how sharp your heel is? how hard did you step on it each time? how often did you poke at the mat? But for a $1000, it should be harder than concrete. who knows.. maybe they will replace it. But you should probably not wear the pointy heel shoes anymore?

I also think this CF floor mat is strictly for looks, it is not meant to be durable and take a beating.

My dealer will not sell them. They are basically tissue paper.

Its the complete opposite look, but I like cocomats. I have sisal black in my car, but some of their synthetic ones look modern if that is your thing.

My bad. I am surprised that sneakers with rubber soles would do that. I wear dress shoes with hard soles/heel and over time, it did scrap/scratch the rubber floor liner. one thing we learn from this is those CF are not durable....

I love mine and ran them for 10,000 miles in my GT4 with no wear issues and then kept them when I sold the car. I ordered no cost standards on the 991.2 GT3 and will swap with the GT4's CF - they are the same CF mats GT4/GT3, but for some reason they now cost hundreds more on a 991.2 ... ahem!

Perhaps time to invest in a pair of proper driving shoes.
10k Miles and mine look lightly dusty with no wear points and I jam my foot to shin against the console side

Sorry to bump this thread that is over a year old but I came across this thread as I'm looking at ordering CF floor mats but based on the responses here, it looks like a for sure no go. I heard from the SA as well that the floor mats are quite brittle and this would back up that statement. I was wondering how they would implement CF floor mats as it would need to have some resin over it but that would stiffen the structure of the CF mats. I guess they didn't put a resin over it and maybe it's raw CF or it's a very very very thin layer of resin. I guess I will pass.

To continue, what are your opinions on the leather floor mats? It looks like there is an option for regular leather floor mats and one to personalize your floor mats but it looks like they both come with a patch that says Porsche. Is the customization only on the stitching and the color of the leather?

If you don't order carbon fiber floor mats or leather edge floor mats, what other option is there except for the all weather floor mats?
