Default Extended Warranty GT3

For a brand new GT3, Dealer quoted me following options for an extended warranty:
  • $5k - 4 years over factory, 60k miles total (5k miles per year)
  • $6,900 - 4 years over factory, 100k miles total
  • $,2900 Wheel/Tire - I did not opt for wheel tire as I plan to put aftermarket wheels/tires on
Is it worth it to get extended warranty at time of purchase? Anyone have any feedback on the pricing quotes I received?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I don’t want to take a chance, so I’m going to end up
getting the warranty. But not going for the tire/wheel
packabe.

4 years (factory warranty) is a long time...who knows. But i would make sure the warranty is 1. transferable (for resale) 2. cancel-able with prorated money back, that way if you sell the car before the warranty kicks in, it's not money down the toilet. There are also many awesome 3rd party warranty options available that you can decide on before the warranty is about to expire, not to mention getting the factory CPO for around 3k.

Default Wheel and tire insurance

I bought the wheel and tire insurance on my '19RS ($1200/24 months). I got a flat due to road debris on Day 2. New tire and mounting of $625 fitted without any hassle.

Wow! Looks like it really came in handy right there. I'm swapping out the OEM Cup2s with PS4S. If the Wheel/Tire warranty covered aftermarket wheels/tires i'd be all over this!
