Default Australian Deivered GT3/GT3 RS

Just wondering if any other Aussie Rennlisters out there are having problems with delivery of their GT3 or GT3 RS's. Mine was built in November and I was told yesterday it was still in Germany. Been so long it will be superseded by the 992 before I see it! Lost a lot of excitement for the car now. Someone cheer me up.....please.

We in "RoW" markets are at the whim of shipping logistics. The regional Porsche subsidiaries, and in some cases the concessionaire-importers, decide when and how to get the cars from Bremerhaven and the likes to our respective locations.

It's not uncommon for Asia-bound cars to sit in the Bremerhaven for a month sometimes two before boarding their RoRo.

This is something to take up with the regional organization in AUS but ultimately a matter of dollars. One prolly wouldn't fly an RS, but there might be higher-priced sea options for you.

It will be worth the wait! We're loving ours. And yes the 992 is on it's way, but you know it'll be forever before the 992 GT3 is first announced, shown, available in Europe, available in US, then finally lands down under... I predict late 2021 early 2022...

well look at it this way
things rarely change
so the 992.1 GT3 will be as late as this one , so you will have plenty of time to enjoy the 991.2 and life moves on

Hi, I have not had any delays with 991.1 3RS. It was build in November 2016 and got to me around mid Feb 2017. It was 2 weeks delayed from what I can remember and it was in transportation once it got down to Melbourne.
I got March build for this year, with May/June delivery on 991.2 3RS. I would say no delays from the expirience I have in this. You need to find out if you car is actually completed.
I bet it's awaiting for something like ppf. I would be very surprised that it's complete and just parked. If you ask and demand for explanation you will get your answer. Porsche has excellent reputation to continually provide transparency in their after sales and service area and you just need to ask away appropriate person. If you are not getting answers, you need to mowe up to next in charge. Its your car so be firm and serious when you demand explanation.
You will get you answers.

Zoran
