JCR // Titanium Valved Race Pipe (New Product & Intro Offer!)
#16
Couple of questions:
- does this system retain stock cats?
- where are the valves? don't see them in photos.
- any photos of full system? would like to see the rest of the plumbing.
- how would this system differ from using valved side muffler delete and silenced center section?
Thanks

Valves are on the outboard side of the car. In the video you can see the linkage move.
JCR typically posts pictures on their site.
JCR is better equipped to answer.
No CEL.

When is the second thread coming with results from all the non-header parts? Hoping these are included with video capturing the valve transition. Any chance it's before the intro buy period? Want to make the most informed decision possible without the luxury of experiencing firsthand.

Beautiful system. Can you kindly provide the weight delta between your system and Porsche's stock system?

Hey all,
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you on responses in this thread, its been bit of a crazy week!
As a couple have since mentioned, the Valved Race Pipe fixes to the factory headers (and any header which is a direct replacement for OEM) so if you run with OEM headers there is no requirement to re tune and no change in emissions meaning no chance of CEL
1) We're working on pulling together this specific info, I hope to share very soon and will add all additional information to the JCR EXHAUST REFERENCE THREAD
2) When valves are open the sound is audibly exactly the same as the non silenced race pipe, we even went to the trouble of running 76mm I/D valves with a bellow before / after the valve body to ensure the flow wasn't disturbed by the butterfly valve as to not affect flow rates and disturb the sound in any way vs original race pipe.
The Valved Race Pipe is not supplied with our Titanium Tips however you can install OEM tips and/or upgrade to our Titanium tips. Install is as per OEM to retain the modular approach that each of our exhaust offerings follow.
Please see below, again this is a subjective feeling based on all of our other exhausts
Get in touch via PM, maybe we can figure a solution for you
Sorry for the delay, please see above
1) Yes stock cats, the system fixes to the factory / factory style headers
2) Please see image below, hopefully this shows them a little more clearly than the images previously posted
3) Hopefully the above picture also helps with this request
4) Our Valved Side Silencer Bypass and Silenced Centre Bypass are modular parts, with the Valved Race Pipe we have more freedom in the design and so we have been able to include larger silencers in the valves closed position and also run our extended larger diameter pipe work and incorporate the Race Pipe merge pre tips. All this means that in comparison the Valved Race Pipe is quieter with valves closed and louder with valves open.
The transition is smooth, its not a big sudden step and its not annoying (in my opinion) Due to the design and routing of the silencer intake and valve position the sound naturally builds prior to the valves opening
No drone and no chance of CEL when running this exhaust together with the OEM headers
Please see point 4) above (also repeated below as this is the same info requested)

Can't wait for your feedback once installed!
Pic above, its a killer set up!
Very soon, sorry for the delay on this. A HUGE amount of data to be processed and between all of the current work load its taking a little longer than first hoped to release, i've not forgotten though and will do my best to get it out there and presented on the forum ASAP
Thanks for the compliments! The weight loss vs OEM Side Silencers and OEM Centre Silencer is -18.5kg (-40.79lbs)
Thanks again for all the questions, please do feel free to ask more!
I will be sharing more video of the exhaust tomorrow

@JC
1) Do you have any sound measurements between this new system at the multiple RPM ranges vs. the Silenced non-valved Race Pipes? The silencers look very similar between both systems, so I wonder if the valves closed are producing similar sound levels to my JCR Silenced Race Pipes (I don't want my system any louder to what it is).
2) Also with the valves open, is the sound level identical to the Non-Silenced/Non-Valved Race Pipes (the original race pipes)?
Thanks

JC,
Shouldn't valves closed sound as loud and just like your silenced race pipe? It sounds quieter than stock in the video.
Can you please add this one to the comparison list you made from before so we can get an idea of the volume please .. Example of your comparison attached..
Thank you!
