Default Tick, tick, tick

Sorry if this has been covered already, but I couldn't find it. I'm a new GT3 owner, only 600 something miles on it, bone stock and I've been following break-in. I hear a much more pronounced ticking at low speeds and idle, which, I'm hoping, is the valve train that I'm hearing, since there's less sound deadening and not an exhaust leak? I'm no mechanic, so those two examples may sound completely different to some folks. If it was the later, I would hope a code would be thrown on the dash. I heard a similar noise on my GT4, but it just wasn't as pronounced. I guess the increased monetary output has heightened my senses to any little noise, LOL.

My GT3 touring is my first GT p car but I have had a few 911s before the gt3. I also have about 500 miles and I hear what think is the same very rythmic low volume ticking sound at low speeds and low rpm 2.5-4.5k. It has been bothering me too. Glad to "hear" that it is normal? Valve train makes sense since it kid of sounds like a quiet sewing machine. I have never noticed this noise on my other 911s.

When in doubt, floor it. It if it doesn’t blow up, you’re good

these engines have lots of noises...gloriously odd, mechanical noises. Soon we'll be driving Teslas running on cell phone batteries. So enjoy while we have it!

I hear no "ticking" sounds in my GT2 car...lots of crackles and pops and whirs and hisses but no "ticking"
