Both the other cars have loads more power (upwards of 200+hp) and cost significantly more.

Not being an *** here, but those other two cars aren't in the same league.
Agreed. Should have compared the GT2RS. These cars are more expensive and a step up.

Some of you race and should know that you can’t compare results from one track day to the next. In our spec class we are as much as 3-5 seconds a lap faster on any given track due to weather and conditions. Also whoever ran on the track before makes a huge difference as well. We’ve been way off lap times just due to some incompatible rubber that had been layed down before us.

Take it for what it’s worth- it’s a valid comparison at least since it was done on the same track at the same day. If the fix is in, well that wouldn’t be the first time, but all this extrapolation of times from different days and drivers is just a lot of wasted time.

The comparison as done is valid. I have no beef that the Ferrari won and 3rs lost. I would expect those results. The Pista has 200 more hp and is double the price.

What I don’t understand is why they didn’t get a 2rs in there?

They may may as well have compared the Pista to a Ford Fiesta- oh wait....never mind. They did.

These reveiws are just lame.

I don’t see the comparison as valid.

Same day, same driver, same effort, same rubber.

Thats a fair comparison.

Really? Because I never had to buy a GTC4Lusso and a Portofino just to qualify for a GT3 RS before. Whereas with Ferrari that *might* be enough, maybe, perhaps, potentially, to qualify for a 488 Pista. And to qualify for the 812 version of the F12 TDF? Don't even bother unless you've spent a few million with the dealer.

These games don't exist on the Porsche side. You could say it's equivalent, but not "much worse than Ferrari."

. Try buying a 2rs at Msrp and let me know how that goes. Either way, neither company is a saint. And you are comparing limited edition models of Ferrari to regular production versions.

2rs? At Msrp? You will get laughed at. How about that new speedster that’s coming? What’s that gonna cost you to be able to get one, let alone at Msrp.

Portofino, Lusso, 488, 812 can all be had at Msrp. Yes you might have to wait a bit till
your allocation comes but no markups from Msrp from the dealer.

Pista? Limited edition car supposedly but if you really want one, can likely get one. Just be patient as they will make lots.

how many threads have there been with Porsche and adm. do I even need to mention the name Shiraz?

All these comapnies suck- Porsche is right up there.

I agree. None of them are your friends. They all look to stick it to you to one degree or another. Any one who thinks otherwise .. flush out your head gear.

I do find Porsche owners more down to earth and less snooty in general.

He's ok as a journalist but not experienced enough as a track driver for us to take his lap times seriously.
