Love it - congrats. Initially i couldn't understand the whole Touring thing. But more and more, i am getting attracted to it. If its not primarily a track car - dont need the wing. I think getting exactly what you want is awesome too - no one nagging in your ear and YOLO. Congrats! I love that color. More into the SY than the green...

THIS!
Exactly how I felt initially. The Touring is a perfect car for ...well, ....TOURING.

The 991.2 rear steering is the one Design Element that has contributed to making the road trip better and easier.
Here is where I'm coming from - The roads in N America are not always the best (being polite) and my 997.2 GT3 kicked its rear end out on a road trip when I hit a sweeper with a massive depression near Moapa, Utah. The rear end got light and it was a "pull over and take a break kinda moment".
I am convinced the Touring (or any 991.2 GT3/RS) would be more stable than the 997 when unsettled on crap roads and that makes the Connection with the car so much stronger

Damn fine color. Took the "sleeper" right out of Touring.

definitely one of the classic colours and should be brought back. Surprised they didn't do it with the 997,1 along with the orange and viper.

Thank you for your kind words I didn't even think for a second about doing the touring when I first got my allocation. Didn't understand it at all myself. Went winged 6spd manual chalk; asked for PTS, they asked which color I would pick and I said Signal Yellow (don't think I had a chance anyway) and we know what happened next. Then the Gelbgrun winged popped up locally and I bought that and let the dealer sell my spec. Kept seeing all these touring photos in unique greens and strange blues with houndstooth seats and fell in love with the idea of a touring GT3. I just love how sexy it is without the wing! This one came to me out of the blue with *9 miles* and I just felt it was a sign... stop compromising on color or trim even if something is 98% of what you want and buy this damn car. Forget about the money for once. Was telling Sean Groer as we were driving it yesterday that there's absolutely no option/color that will gnaw at me and make me think I need that instead of this... just seeing the SY on the hood and fenders while driving it made my jaw hurt from cheesing so hard.

I live in north Georgia nearish the Blue Ridge mountains so this is a great fit. Just got the confirmation that my PPF will be done in time for my mountain/cabin/casino trip that I had planned for months and then it appeared last minute I wouldn't have a ready car for the trip... (I'm scared of taking the 964 out in the rain). Pretty stoked for the good news. Can't wait for it to get filthy like yours and get some pics in the mountains.

Strange that there are so few of them. Hennessy Porsche is a pretty high volume dealership and I was told this car pretty much shut down the place when it got dropped off by transport. Apparently the GM said they've never had a signal yellow car come through the dealership since he's been there, which I found pretty hard to believe. Made me feel pretty special even if some might argue "there might be a reason for that". LOL

Congrats on SY. It's a great color ... but I'm biased.

Enjoy.

Grand area, big envy
I volunteered to work for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and spent 2 years at Dobbins while finding time to do hobbies in your area like whitewater on the Ocoee, Natahala, Chatooga, New River, Gauley and a few other rivers. Spectacular area but not that far from Atlanta should you need to go there.

For N Georgia, I would like to be the first to put in a polite request that you post photos of your car during peak foilage season next autumn. That car in a background of brightly colored leaves reflecting off the windows would be so far off the chart!

Absolutely! What would be really cool would be to get our cars together with a Carmine GT car with fall colors.

Pretty fired up to pick the car up from PPF in the morning! No work, four days in the mountains with good friends. Going to be a blast!
The anticipation to *really* drive it (sort of, will follow 2019 break-in instructions) has been tough on me
