991.2 air filter change

what is the going dealer price, I understand that the rear bumper cover and tail lights must be removed to get to the filters.

Did it myself...easy actually....I put in BMC like the RS comes with so I can clean them every year. I’d say it takes about hour tops...dealer probably 30 minutes. They probably charge hour rate plus the $70 for stock paper filters.

This so easy, just do it yourself. Once you do it, it will be a snap the next time. Just like CL hubs you only need to do it once.

Going price will be what the Dealer decides to bend you for if you elect to not do it yourself.

Figure they will at least charge you an hour of service.

OP,
I meant to post this YouTube video (below), the other day...I used the video as a guide when I removed my RS’s rear cover. On a GT3 getting to the three fenderwell screws on either side can be a little tight, but it’s doable. I’m assuming jacking up the rear may help, I didn’t. Note: Not mentioned in the video, the RS has a forth screw nearly at the top of the fenderwell covered by a plastic piece.
It really is a fairly straight forward job...plus you’ll be able to appreciate what you own that much more. These cars underneath are just as beautiful.,,to me.
PM me if I can help.
Best,
JB

As previously stated it’s not too bad of a job. It’s kind of fun. I’ve taken everything off in anticipation for an exhaust exchange I’ll be doing. I’ve exchanged the stock filters with BMCs. Hopefully everything goes back on as easily as it came off. Also it was a good chance for me make sure there was no oil leak which I guess a few GT3s have seen. Everything was dry. Full disclosure I am mechanically challenged.

Learn from me...when putting the rear cover back on, ensure the two alignment pins on either side above the taillights are completely through the appropriate rear cover holes. Otherwise, when you fasten the fenderwell screws, there will be a small gap between the rear cover and the car’s body...requiring you to remove the screws to align the pins.

Akrapovic has great instructions on how to remove the rear bumper cover.

Hi,
For some reason that link took me to Amazon...🥴. Maybe it’s my phone converting “rear bumper cover” to a link..
Regards,
JB

Thanks!!!! Ref this document’s page 17/18, on the 16 GT3 RS there’s a fourth screw in the fenderwell compared to the GT3’s three screws. This fourth screw can be found under a hidden plastic flap along the fenderwell’s top leading edge.
Cheers
JB
