6000 track miles before you need to concern yourself with that. I'm not kidding - 6K is a real number from Porsche.

If you use stock spec tires

Hoosier or slicks accelerate this

Yup, it's a real recommendation from Porsche.

But, is it a true need, or just a lawsuit defense tactic of "just in case"? Your choice, I suppose, and I would choose t get it done.

For me, and likely the OP, the real question is what does it mean for the weekend DE warrior who also drives the GT3 as a street fun car if not a daily driver? My car now has 6,500 miles on the odo, probably 3,500 of those are street miles. So, do I do the hub rebuild now, or keep tabs on when it actually gets to 6,000 true track miles and do it then? I am going for the latter.

It depends on one's risk tolerance. To my mind it's likely a fairly true need at 6000 actual track miles given the rear hub failure of the NJ registered 991.1 TT at WGI last year with just in excess of that figure. There is a separate figure for street miles. It is fairly easy to calculate the correct time to do the rebuild based on your street to track ratio. We are at 4K track miles on our .1GT3. It's not actually a very costly or complex job.

It's based on true track miles. You should log the number of miles. The 991.1 GT3 track manual supplement says 6000 miles is the equivalent of two 24 hour Nurburgring races, iirc

I follow Porches recommendations regarding hubs and the centerlock nut on my 991.1RS:

My 997 GT3 broke it's left rear hub at about 80.000 km's. Approx 40.000km's on track. You don't want to have that weird feeling of having the wheel completely loose if you can avoid it...

But it is really difficult to translate road miles to track miles...

Has anyone seen the torque wrench, wheel nuts, being advertised on Facebook that's a replacement for the factory wheel nuts?

Probably obvious but the wheel nut and the hub are two different things. Making sure since the OP was asking about hub rebuild.
