Black 3RS spec, PDLS or not?
 

I am specing a 3RS-- i prefer it relatively understated and would like Black with satin platinum wheels. Only thing i cannot decide on are the headlights-- should i go PDLS+ or not? I think the relatively bright "plain" lights looks OK with a black car-- so i am not sure about the PDLS+ -- i don't know if the configurator render is an accurate depiction of how it looks in the real world. Would anyone have pics of a black GT3/RS with "plain" and/or PDLS+ lights? I can't seem to find many pics with non-PDLS cars. Thank you

Go for the black PDLS.. I did when ordering my 2RS and I think they suite the black color more.

Yes. When placing the order 3 weeks ago they removed 2 options from the factory, Mag wheels & PTS. Unfortunately no real world pics till I get the car sometimes in May.

The buckets on the lights will be quite a bit lighter than the satin platinum wheels. If you are hoping for a match you will be disappointed.

Go with Xenon and Black housing. The HID's Black Housing is darker than the PDLS+ Drak Grey (they are nowhere close to Black) housings. My former and current 991 GT3 RS and my 991 TTS have all the same headlights: PDLS+ in Black, these things are heavy, and the Regular optional HID in Black look more 911 classic, they are lighter and the low beam HID has plenty enough brightness. You'll save money too.

Unfortunately, they stopped offering Xenon's with the black house on the .2 cars.

You all worried about how the exterior look? the pdls+ led are awesome at night... definitely worth it
