I've noticed (and there have been some reports) on a rear suspension metallic clunk when the suspension is jolted/unloaded (over any harsh bump or pothole); this may or may not be normal, but I'm getting my car looked at on the 20th just to make sure. There is a separate thread about the issue here: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...-unloaded.html

Just out of curiosity, anyone else experience that noise?

You're not the only one. One of my friends has the same issue.

With that said, it seems that all 2000+ GT3s that were produced for NA are on display in North Scottsdale
2000+ haha, it’s more like 5,500+ For NA

2014-2016 = 2,133 verified
2018-2019 = ~3,350 estimated

Do you know what the outcome was?

Last thing I know it was still in the state of "mysterious unresolved gremlin", and the car was basically taken apart to smallest pieces at the dealieship.

Default 2018 GT3

Had an overly sensitive interior movement security alarm sensor. Went off all by itself in the parking lot while I was out playing golf at a golf course. Golf course management was not happy with me. Also would go off for no good reason in my driveway. Dealer's service rep was able to repeat the failure. They called Germany. Germany sent them a whole new set of sensors to swap out. Problem solved (at least it seems so after just one week).

Whoa! Yeah, I'm not sure if I'd want them to go that far, lol. I just want to make sure everything is normal. I know there is very little sound deadening in these cars and certain mechanical noises are normal. If you have any other updates on this issue, please post it.

Thanks so much!

I have the metallic clunk. It's only on the passenger side toward the rear. It has been there since day one.

As a new 991.2 GT3 owner, this thread is triggering my OCD big time.

Mine does the same. Almost like it's bottoming out on a jarring bump. Didn't have the issue on the .1. it doesn't happen enough to take in and have the dealer go on a Witch Hunt for the issue.

I pasted this over to the other "odd noises/clunking" thread since I am not sure everyone is following along with both. I recommend pulling wheels and checking for these shipping retainers.

I had two of these green retainers still on my car when I got it and the first owner had already put 900 miles on it......
One day I saw them and debated with myself if they were supposed to be there; finally decided to remove them and see if the car fell apart.
All well so far.

Pic added; they are very heavy duty

These are extremely rare CXX options .... mine came with a pair too 🤦*♂️ /s

It it makes me wonder what kind of PDI these dealers are doing... so many GT deliveries they can't keep up...
