Not a fan of LWB as am not tracking car- 38% built with sofa seats per production stats- What effect down road is there on resale/desireablilty of build.
Thanks.

You'll get a lot of comments (correctly) that you should buy the car for your use rather than concern yourself with the next owner.

Question - what car are you buying? RS, GT3, GT3T, .1 or .2? I think this matters to the question.

I built mine with sofa's because I like the sofa's better. Resale wise it may be worth a little less in general but many buyers prefer sofa's so it all depends on who's buying. If I didn't get my allocation, I would have paid the same for sofa's as lwb, so I think it depends on who's buying it...

Looking at used GT3s which is good enough for my purposes. Prices over MSRP are still too high considering how many were built and now for sale.

From that, I take you to mean .2 w/ wing. I think having sofas in that car will hurt the resale but you can probably bake that in to the purchase price now as it's less desirable (or said differently has a more specific set of buyers). I'd get the car you want. An RS w/ sofas would be pretty unusual but the GT3 is probably less of an issue.

There are a lot of people who won’t buy a GT3 without LWBs. There are an equal amount who won’t buy a GT3 with LWBs. Just buy the car you want.

don't worry bro, someone will buy your car.

Fer chissakes.....there are purple GT3s, lime green GT3s, and vomit colored ones.

All get sold and for good money.

Porsche should sell the OEM seats tho. Mclaren will give you anything you want.

Back when I traded in my .1 GT3 RS with LWB's, I was told I'd get $10k less if it had Sofa's. I've never heard that comment on any of my winged GT3's and had 2 with Sofas and 1 with LWB's. I prefer sofa's in the GT3 just for the ease of entry/exit and I also get zero complaints from the wife. If you are not tracking it, get the sofa's if that's what you prefer. You will not lose anything or very little on resale due to the seat type.

Thanks for the feedback- issue is finding one that I deem fair $$- as most are LWB- found only 2 so far at big ADM which should not be.

i disagree. My GT3 had pdk and sofas. Dealer gave me the same price as a friend that had manual and lwbs (we both traded in for 3rs). My car sold in a week for 15-20k over and my friends is still sitting on the showroom 3 months later. What you hear on rennlist isn’t necessarily what the majority of the market thinks. People here are real enthusiasts and a small part of the market. I’ve seen 2 new GT3RS with sofas so far. So I wouldn’t worry about it.

It will not matter at resale.

You may not get as much w/o LWBs but one pays more for LWBs when you build it . In other wards- when you pay for buckets you do not lose($$) that option at resale like one may for PCCBs

After not liking the LWB in my '18 .2GT3, I ordered a '19 Touring w/ sofas. It is not a matter of resale for me, but whether your body type can feel comfortable enough in the LWB.

Keep in mind that the Carbon seats are $6k option(in Canada). So a vehicle without it should cost that much less. My opinion is that it will be tougher to sell whenever you choose to do so. However I am sure there are others like you who are after the same comfort seats!

I think the color of the car will make a bigger difference than seats or transmission.
