Speak for yourself Joe, those of us who weigh 250lb+ need every lb of savings.

Personally I would dump the WP, I think most are getting it and carbon brakes for resale value but I buy my cars for my use not the next persons. Seriously though order the car exactly the way you want to and enjoy it. Hope you take it to the track because any GT car is kinda wasted if it is not exercised on the track in my humble opinion.

As for the weight concerns for the non WP cars, I am sure just about all of us can stand to lose 13 lbs (myself included) and in doing so we would improve our health and save the WP money so win win.

You're gonna look like a total poor person with those red calipers.

I am having the same debate. Try not to go to crazy, keep overall sticker price reasonable.

There is nothing wrong with the steel brakes, who cares 80% get it. Only 6.4% get Miami Blue, didn't stop you.

I want PCCB, only for the perception of something better, always have a fear of something happening to them.. although on my GT2 44k km no problems.

My sticker is a bit lower then yours, and I got the WP with Magnesium wheels.

Why the wheels, it completes the package, its a bit rare, my guess 90% don't have them. Getting the GT Silver, I think WP will look cool.
The other options, after a few days, don't even notice them.. WP I will have a smile, every single day I see it.

Have a STI RA, Blue with carbon roof and wing, looks amazing.

I’d double check with your SA and get a firm confirmation from Porsche.
They have reopened the 808 hood option for builds after february, he can get the CF hood

It’s all personal preference. There’s no “wrong” build. I’d wouldn’t want any of it - WP, PCCB, SC or FAL. The only one I’d consider is PCCB. But that’s just me.

If looks matter, as you said they do (and who doesn’t care about looks at this price?), the PCCBs will keep those pricey white gold magnesium wheels brake dust-free.

Also, the PCCBs don’t rust after washes.

I have never gotten the PCCB for the simple fact that i hate the color and how they clash with every color but black.Nothing to do with weight or performance.

Depending upon what you are going to do with the car (track or just fun), I'd pass on the PCCB based upon cost and cost to replace down the road, particularly if you track. The regular brakes are so good. I have PCCB on my TurboS as it was standard, and I love them, but when I built the spec on my GT4 I didn't even consider PCCB.

I recently saw a new green GT3RS that had PCCB, but the owner painted the calipers to match the car. Looks great, and the yellow calipers clashed with the green. So, maybe an option is get the steel brakes, and have the calipers painted to a color you prefer. Not that expensive.

Who said it wasn't going to be driven? The best part of getting an allocation vs buying one second hand is that you get to spec it just how you want it.
