Default Any consensus yet? US Millworks front plate for 991.1 GT3

Folks, I've seen good and bad on this; some say it's too close to the bumper to not rub during normal use. Others say it fits and works great. Then there is the customer service - initial order delayed, no emails returned on follow-up questions/small parts orders.

If I just order what I want correctly up front, be patient on delivery, will I get what I want and will it fit? Thanks.

No rubbing if you get the new .2 version, which has a longer bolt to accommodate for the bumper difference between.1 and .2 cars. I suspect people who had rubbing issues may have used the version made for the .1 GT cars on .2 cars.

edit: for the .1 gt3 rs, both versions will work. The older version wilsit closer to the bumper, while the .2 version will give you plenty of space on a .1 gt car.

I haven’t even tried yet on my .2, does this mean I have to sell mine because it’ll be too close for .2?

I called them, and they sold me the longer bolt alone to be used with my older version plate. Swapped the bolts and a perfect fit.

Isn’t there an Italian company that sells license plate holder where it clips in grill - something like carabinero just can’t remember. I plan on buying from them once my car comes in. Anyone think of the name?

Sorry no pics but I've seen it on a few GT cars, it looks great, very functional. Not the lop-sided visual which tow hook mounts give... They hurt my eyes.
I had Santa order one for me at Christmas but my car is still in hibernation.

For the Carbonio there were some complaints about the clips chipping the grill paint from taking on and off?

Anybody have that issue?

I like this option best because it's not offset.

I have one. It takes a little practice to get the hang of putting it on and off but the hooks have a rubber covering so should not chip the grill. I only have a few hundred miles on my car so no long term experience yet.

Pictures of mine here. Not sure how it would work on 991.2.

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...k-mount-4.html

I considered cutting off the metal ends of the hooks to help prevent chipping the paint but that's what holds the sleeves on. So far, no problems.
