Default 1/4 Mile With Vids & Time Slips

aaaannnddddddd.............. here come the excuses..... LOL

Anyhow, i thought i would take my .1 GT3RS to the drag strip.
Yes I KNOW its not a straight line performance car, but i thought why not have a go.

Full street trim.
Car has factory Half Cage, LWB, PCCB, Lift.
Tyres are stock Cup 2 with half tread.
38 PSI air in rear.
Half tank fuel
Elevation of 239 ft above sea level
DA is 1749.72 ft.
Drained the washer fluid reservoir
Drilled holes in the tissue box on the parcel shelf

Ambient temp was 26 Deg C (79F) according to time slip though car was showing 29 (84F)

STUPID me, i brought 2x Go Pros with me all exited to film. I set them up in the car. Turned them on, and BAM no SD Cards in either of them. How the bloody hell did i forget to check that.
So the footage you're seeing is from my DashCam. Though can still switch to 4k viewing.

As you can hear in the videos, i was struggling for traction. I did do a little tyre frying before the launch, but its hard with the PDK as you can't really press the brake like a torque converter auto.

I used launch on 2 runs, though i was still struggling for traction (Had all the aids off)
When i didn't use launch control, and just eased the throttle in, i got a little better times.

All in all, i'm happy. Yes i could have lowered pressures, and gone in colder temps, less humidity etc. But its Summer time here in Sydney at the moment. And i had a spare afternoon so i thought why not.
I did a total of 6 runs. All were in the 11 Second range. My best was 11.69

As a reference, my 2010 Pan Turbo with tune & catless downpipes did 11.6 at same track. Albeit in cooler temps.

Oh also, i figured out why i couldnt upload pics to this bloody forum.
The iphone takes pics in this new HIEC format. The forum wont accept it. So you have to convert to JPG before uploading.

^Nice man! Personally love seeing time slips as it's an accurate indicator of what power your car is making.. With those slips, you're at about 424 WHP.. What's your DA?

Also, i heard one of the commentators on the loud speaker saying how 11.6 was pretty shameful (bloody hater), then the other guy on the speaker said, wait a minute. Its a street car. In street trim. 6Cyl, 4L, NA RWD. What do you want? Something like that. It was hard to hear exactly coz i was driving and had my helmet on etc. But yeah, i though to myself, what a hater. But it happens.

It's pretty slow for an 11 sec car, but that's a function of traction, or lack there of. That car would probably do 1.6 with R888s.

Panamera Turbo 2010
Tuned
Catless Down Pipes, no resonators. Just factory mufflers.
IPD Plenum
21" Rims (Conti Sport 5)
Launch Control (without launch i was getting crappy times)
Obviously no traction issues being AWD but it is just over 2 Tonne Car (4500lbs)
With launch, all day it would run 11.6. Bulletproof.

Here is a snap shot from my VBOX
This wasnt taken on the drag strip tonight, but on normal road just playing around with Launch Control

This is 0-100 KPH & 1/8 Mile. I must have JUST let off before it registered a 1/4 mile. LOL.

This is done in really optimum conditions. If i recall is was like 16 Deg C / 60F at around midnight so air was nice & crisp.

0- 100 KPH is the same as 0-62 MPH

Launch control is disabled when nannies are off. The car still holds revs at 6400rpm from stationary, but it won’t use LC.

When LC is activated, there is a dashboard message.
