Almost looks like a regular 911 on the rear with wing bolted on.

My guess - we see 992.1 GT3 on US soil very late 2021.

Interesting..... we'll see if accurate or not. Excerpt below:

" It was only about a week ago when Porsche confirmed plans to stick to a naturally aspirated engine for the 911 GT3 RS, and things shouldn’t be any different with the non-RS model. The top-of-the-range variant will get a minor engine displacement bump, but it will still continue to be labeled as a 4.0-liter unit since the increase will be small. A few extra horses are expected, and will be channeled to the road through a seven-speed PDK rather than the eight-speed auto implemented in the new Carrera S / 4S. The new 911 GT3 will probably debut at some point in 2020. Meanwhile, the base Carrera models are expected to arrive in 2019. "

So pumped I have no interest in the next iteration.

Will be fun to watch from the seats though

Nope- I do not chase Bumpers nor care about having the latest and greatest.

The .2 was all I wanted- NA, 500 plus HP, Manual.

In the future may add to it or if a GT3 Touring came in a Convertible that may sway be back in the game

I honestly don't care about the next gen GT3 or GT3 RS because I have all I need in my current .2 GT3: Manual, NA, and 500HP! That being said, if I could afford it, I'd consider adding a 2020 GT3RS to the stable; my .2 GT3 is staying with me forever.

The 991.1 was revealed in September 2011 and available as a 2012 MY. The 991.1 GT3 was announced in March 2013 and was available as a 2014 MY. I'm gonna guess they announce the GT3 in Geneva 2020 and have it available as a 2021 MY. 2023 seems a bit accurate for the RS if anything.

If they put an RSR like top mounted wing on the 992 RS, I think I'd keep it for life.

It's amazing we ended up here with all the things people said would never happen again (manual and wing delete). Following in the spirit of adding things requested and people have given up on them doing: rear seat option (additional cost of course).

In all seriousness though the worst parts of the 992 cosmetically (my opinion at least) is the front and rear bumper. Luckily those are precisely the things that always get a major improvement in look when it comes to GT3 flavor (especially with no turbo vents).

I agree! I want a touring model with sofas, back seats and PDK. Or just call it a turbo S with the NA engine. Make a great daily driver for me.

That couldn't have been Germany; it's illegal to honk your horn there when he cut the guy off trying to follow it.
