Default Not many Lava cars...

Has anyone seen a Lava GT in the wild? Have yet to see one. Stopped by the dealer today and they have a Carrera 2 Lava, looks good.

Lava was popular on the .1 RS (launch color) but not on anything else. It has proven a rather polarizing color. Probably my least favorite orange Porsche has ever offered.

Here is a lava 991 R that I saw at Rare Shades in Santa Cruz in August. I included a picture of the 991 R next to a Tangerine 911. I also included a pastel orange so you can see the difference. I have seen a winged lava GT3 in the wild here in LA a couple of times. I am a fan of the various oranges although I could not pull the trigger on an orange myself (I opted for PTS light ivory for my incoming GT3T).

I owned a 991.2 Lava GT3. Does that count?

a buddy of mine has a .1 rs in LO, it is stunning, absolutely one of my favorite colors. The color kind of reminds of the 928's continental orange which looks stunning in daylight.

Lava is interesting. IMO photos do not due it justice. When in the sun it actually looks pretty good. Yes it is a polarizing color. However I would take LO over UV ALL DAY LONG.

I have both and I like UV over lava. UV is a great flat purple not as good as the metallic deep dark purples but still cool.

Lava ended up growing on me over the last few years. I don’t like it without accents, I didn’t like it on standard 911s or a gt3 but with a Gt3rs and it’s black accents it was amazing. Then I saw this and fell in love with it. The white accents it remarkably well..nature did it with the coral fish so it must work... 🤣

I saw a 991.2 GT3 Lava Orange in Manual for sale at my local dealer. Unfortunately sat on the lot for a long time. Other GT cars came and sold faster than the Lava. It was also highly optioned up to 190k (this did not help).

It’s literally my least favorite Porsche color. Personally I really don’t like it. But I have friends who love it. So it’s a really personal and polarizing color which is kinda cool VS all black a silver safe colors

My .1 Lava RS with Xpel satin wrap. It was stunning. I almost did my .2RS in Lava but decided to do something different. Sometimes wish I did it.

LO for some reason is polarizing but I think it’s gorgeous and suits the car great. So did PAG

Lava vs. UV. My Lava after driving 4 hours in the rain next to C2Spin's clean UV. Lava doesn't appear to show dirt as bad as other colors.
