Porsche Calgary - How to buy a GT video
This was first posted by somebody else in the Canada section. Thought the broader GT community would find it interesting and perhaps create some discussion. Nothing incredibly new within except this dealer conducts a lottery after some qualifiers filter potential customers.
Kudos to them for making such a video that speaks honestly to their process. CJ/Fresno is the only other one I know of that has been public about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see more of the 2-year right of first refusal agreements from Canadian dealers as they are enforceable in Canadian courts. Lawrence mentioned this briefly at the end of the video.
But we all know there's more to the qualification process:
1. Have you bought one or more vehicles from us?
2. Will you be willing to purchase a slower moving Porsche model(s) in order to receive a GT car allocation?
3. Are you trading in a GT car for way less than market (here's another way for dealers to collect ADM)
4. We will sell you a GT car but we tell you what after sales packages must be bought to secure the car
It goes on and on so long as Porsche allocates/builds demand - 1.
