Excessive oil consumption?
What's considered excessive oil consumption on a 991.1 GT3RS? Mine was at minimum oil level yesterday, I put half a quart in it and then drove it for 500 easy highway miles (mostly cruising around 70-80mph) and I'm back to the minimum oil level again, so it seems that I use 1 quart every 1,000 miles. Anyone else seeing this much oil usage on non-track use?

What weight oil are you using? How many months ago was the last oil change done? Are you topping off with the same oil that is currently in the car? Remember oil expands 10%+ when fully heated. I haven’t heard of any piston ring issues yet but are you seeing black carbon on the bumper?

700 miles got the yellow overfill light. I have NOT added any oil. Dealership removed 1/2 quart and the oil measurement is halfway in the green. Can't figure out why it took 700 miles for warning light, or why PAG is over filling straight from the assembly lines

The manual often indicates what the threshold is for oil consumption. Usually like 600 miles / quart. Yours isn’t far off. Is your engine still breaking in? Is it possible you are leaking anywhere?

Haven't noticed any leaks. Not breaking in, car has 7k miles on it. I'll take it to dealer and see what they say.

Mine didn't burn any oil even w/ heavy track use. I kind of wished it did because the oil overfill warning seemed to be on all the time! As I recall so folks said theirs burned oil others not so much. I don't think I'd sweat 1 qt/1000 miles.
Side note - I wish these cars had a normal dip stick - esp. the GT cars where the electronic one seems like a POS.

My 2014 (which had the original engine swap with new heads) was pretty much a teetotaler on oil. Between the 12,000 mile services, I never had to add a full quart and the last 12,000 miles I owned it (48-60k), it took on the 1/4 of a quart that you could add at a single time with the 991.1 GT3 engines.
My 2018 is a rather different beast. I'm around 16,000 miles, and it seems to have settled into a 1 quart/3,000 mile routine. We'll see what time shows. I suspect that's on the low side of typical for oil consumption. I pretend my low oil consumption is that I did pretty strictly followed the break-in mileage on both cars and I never rev them over 3-4k until they're fully up to operating temperature, long after the blue light goes away.
The most dramatic difference between the 2014 and the 2018 is oil level management. With the 2014, you had to make SURE that it showed "yellow" a couple of times and 1/4 of a quart put you at the 2 bars down "ideal." With the 2018, I drive until I get the "yellow," dump a quart of Mobile 1 in, and it's at the ideal level every time. I'm a routine-oriented creature. The oil gets checked every Monday morning when I pull into my favorite paking spot at the gym. So, the engine is fully warm (25 miles from home) and it's exactly the same degree of "level" every time...

Are all the comments here about .1 RS? The motor is not the same as the .1 GT3. Just a reminder.
I ask because of the comment about someone possibly being on their third motor. That’s not an RS thing that I’m aware of. And the comments about a 2014
