I watched these videos over and over and over until I could play back everything in my head. You don't show up to the fastest and most dangerous race track in the world unprepared. I had never been to the ring before and only spent one day there for my ED. I had the best. time. ever. at the ring. Forget spa. The ring rules.

In this case Vadaredevil is doing a "Learn how to drive the Nürburgring" course: S7 and Scuderia Hanseat both give these courses. I'd say S7 is perfect for the absolute beginner while Scuderia Hanseat is better for the guys with some Ring experience.
In my opinion, in this case, it is really good to at least try to learn the name and the approximate location of the corners. You don't need it for the driving but for the good discussions in-between. Bring a simplistic map to the track so when you discuss you are 100% which corner you are talking about.
Here's a simple map that includes the GP track and alson indicates the no longer used Südschleife. You don't need more details than this.

I am joining Vadaredevil for the S7 Ring school with the new RS. I have plenty of track experiences in the US but am new at the Ring (drover 4 TF laps there 9 years ago in a rental lol). The blind corners and guard rails are no joke if you go unprepared. Will study hard to remember the corners.

As you mention, once you can visualize the entire track (and corner names) in your head you are "ready" to begin truly learning the Ring! - I personal like to stay away from video games since I think they lull you into believing you are the next Stefan Bellof

Been telling wife when in Europe next year I’m going to Scuderia S7 again. I still day dream about driving there. The videos on YouTube are more fun to watch now that I have actually been there.
