What more filtering will be accomplished and will they be on all US model Porsche vehicles going forward? Are there significant weight or performance penalties? I read that BMW will be using them on European but not US models. Thanks for the input.

The language is somewhat confusing as it says “all NEW MODELS built after Sept 1st”. Do they mean ALL vehicles buil after that date, or only new models that are released post Sept 1? Also, are we certain it applies to cars built for export outside of Europe?

Apologies if has already been clarified before.

Well then, looks lik my 3RS snuck under the wire (July build). Can’t say the same for my 2RS build which happens next month. Hopefully there’s no negative impact to sound or performance.

I don't believe the GT2RS has the filter but I will be able to confirm as I have access to one car built early last year and one car built in November. I think the catalytic converter part numbers stamped into both are the same but I will verify shortly and report back.

Yes, it is confusing. New models - thus, for instance, GT3Ts coming Stateside and built after 9/1 will be without the filter.

My RS is getting PDI.

All we need is for someone or anyone that has a post Sept build to go look under their cars. Easy peasy.
