The master reposter on RL. Not trying to take credit - well you didn’t bother to give credit until someone called you on it....

I didn't even realize it until saw the post above professor.

Did I say hey, I just made this chart up??

Master reposter?? Have a problem?

Maybe PAG/PCNA will have an issue with someone taking credit for their proprietary info. Geez.

So there's technically less manual winged cars in the US than there are tourings? Interesting considering how "rare" the tourings seem comparatively speaking. I'm guessing more tourings went directly to owners vs. dealer specs.

And these figures are nearly 6 weeks old, I reckon the disparity (Touring > Winged Manual) has grown further as at least casual observation seems to suggest most late builds have been Touring spec. Also, keep in mind the Touring option was introduced later in the lifecycle, so speaks of the popularity. I reckon its here to stay for GT3 generations to come.

There will be less than 991 tourings made, yet they will not approach the value of the R. Funny how that works.

I'm assuming u mean less than 991 touring in the US vs 991 R's globally? Apples/oranges comparison? I think the comparison u r looking for is around 200 N American R's vs XXX N Amer Touring once production finally finishes. We should have that data. But I haven't seen any global Touring data to compare to the 991 R's produced globally.

Ironically the Touring concept was decried as an abomination and a “never will happen” here on RL. Porsche knows what it is doing. MT only knifed the R flipper market while no PDK kept the demand in check.

agreed....as anyone with any science background will tell you, A nice even number like "2300" is very suspicious. Unless porsche specifically made 2300. unlikely.....

The way I look at it is the the Winged Manual 4.0 is going to be the least produced cars in US than any other 4.0 Porsche Manual??

Production will run until at least March/April so the 2,300 number will go higher...

All GT2's and Gt3's are locked. Only RS's are available to configure as of Sunday...

Our dealer saw a 50/50 split on wings or no wings

Lots of my touring customers came from different brands, all the GT3 wing/ Gt3RS guys came from 991.1

It's interesting that it took a "sleeper" manual GT3 to drag people across brands. Then again, without giving it much thought right now, I can't think of an equivalent car off the top of my head.

When does GT3 production conclude?
I see the Configurator is still live and that is usually one of the first things to depart at end of series
