Default PCCB differences .1 vs .2

I was at the dealer the other day and noticed that the PCCB rotors + hats on a 991.2 GT3RS don't have the anti rattle springs that the .1s have. I then looked up photos of 991.2 PCCB rotors and it looks like all have them have this change. Anyone know why? Thanks!

If you want replies to this thread you need to change from a fact based question to an opinion based one. The original question here requires specific knowledge. I'd suggest changing the question to something like - Do the .2 PCCB have more "initial bite". All kinds of people will "know" the answer to that.

In all seriousness - I too would like an answer to the original question.

At least for the GT3 the .1 and .2 PCCB's rotor's are the same part numbers. So there's no difference on the non RS.

I would assume a running manufacturing change. I definitely saw the updated design on .2 C4S so I'm pretty sure that implies it's not an RS only change.

To add to the confusion, does anyone know if there is a difference in pads Porsche uses between PCCB systems on GT cars and regular cars.
My 991.2 Turbo S felt much different than my GT3 Touring with PCCB.
The Turbo felt very "grabby" in a weird way on initial bite and the GT3 does not.

Here are some pictures!

991.2 Exclusive with part number visible- notice no springs on the hats, just the washers.

991.1 Rotors (same p/n)

Bumping an old thread -- curious if the OP ever got more info on why this changed from .1 to .2?

Answer is in the 991.2 Service Information book. Says it was done for noise reduction during braking.

Seems like they compromised its fully floating capability some for noise
