The best Porsche value is a 1997 Boxster, lots of car for the money.
But if your first post is asking for the best value between a 2014 or a 2015 GT3 is, the answer is the 2015 as you can find the good seats. They both have a 10y warranty on the faulty engine, just don't modify the ECU.

To the OP- if you can grab a nicely optioned 15 with not crazy miles it would be a good buy, for sure, but in 6 months could be less and a year later even lesser- if you get my drift

If you are looking for a driver, the 991.1 GT3 is a great bargain. I think it is the prettiest GT3 ever built, and it is 95% of what the .2 GT3 is for a whole lot less money. The very long engine warranty makes it a no brainer in this price range. I have 30k miles on mine and it runs as good as the day I bought it (3 years ago). Now, if you want to spend $50k to $80k or more the .2 GT3 is a really great car. Better engine, and it has CarPlay, which a lot of people like. But it is $50k to $80k more.
Btw, long-term almost all cars depreciate. The ones that don’t are rarely driven.
Good luck with your search!

That's the thought process which moved me to a 991.2 GT3 when one showed up at MSRP. If that hadn't happened I would have been happy with the CPO 15 I recently acquired and traded.

Best value is 997.1 or 997.2 GT3, not 991.1 GT3. 996 have shot up, whereas 997 have come down since 6MT came back. Lots fewer 997 than 991 and 997 are getting close to fully depreciated, 991 I suspect will be in the 70s in a few years. Long way to go down.

I would wait until:
- the recession thats about to hit
- 992 gt3 comes out
all gt3s will take a big hit including 997s. Hardest hit ones will be 991.1 Gt3/rs then 991.2 gt3rs and then 991.2 gt3 manual.
Porsche has made too many of these cars.

If these things ever get in the $70k range i will buy another! We still have 6 years of engine warranty left, so it would be the perfect dedicated track car.
