Insurance Naming Question

I had a similar issue with my audi S6. They denoted it as an Audi "A6" because
the system couldn't let them enter the correct model.
The insurance co said that the only thing that matters is the VIN
is entered correctly as that will pull up the correct model.

Itzkirb Hi Everyone
I'm with State Farm Insurance and on my insurance card is says 2019 GT3. I have a 2019 GT3RS and asked if that made a difference in naming on the card. The assistant said it did NOT. I find that rather odd as they are different cars with different price points. Wondering if this is the case with anyone else with State Farm or (like I assume) the assistant is incorrect and I need to have everything changed.

My Touring is almost here and USAA has given me quotes of $170/month using 2000 miles per year, $500 deductibles but their VIN decoder states this as a 2019 GT3 RS
When I run the same online USAA quote as GT3 without submitting the VIN, it results in $50 less per month.
Spent an hour on the phone with 3 different at USAA and Mooty is right , they are all going off the VIN.
I even submitted dealer paperwork stating it as GT3 with a final MSRP far lower than just a Base GT3 RS, but no go.
After decades of being faithful, perhaps it is time to search the open market
Is $170 per month higher than others are paying in AZ - anyone got a lead on auto insurance deals ?
Thank you

I did just that and found huge savings. Apparently I had selected a USAA option not for them to solicit me but that precluded them reaching and suggesting an Umbrella plan.
Sacre bleu!
Did I say "Thank you"!?!
