These are fixes to the meh 992 front (sport package fix) and ugly rear even with the sport package (the wing package instead covers well the panny rear headlights, bacon like third stop light and rear glass looking down to the engine )
a nice 991 cammouflage say it all
to move so quickly correcting the 992 image few weeks only after the launch means that the fire at PAG must be huge,
little late for their budget but they listen,
was more efficient to fire some of their sleeping mngmnt and hire a couple of RL enthusiasts

It makes sense. The clam tail is terrible and they already have the sport design front bumper on the configurator which makes the 992 look like a 991.2. And the 992.1 GT3 wing based on spy pics looks to have gooseneck uprights so that will differentiate the 992 sport design package from the 992 GT3.
Plus it will add ~$5k to the price of each 992 with it for probably minimal additional cost.

Wow, that looks really good. Glad I saw this thread as I'm going into Porsche on Thursday to discuss a possible 992 to add to the stable; maybe my SA can look into this aero kit since it makes the 992 really stand out. Willing to bet it won't be available for quite some time on an actual build though

And the reviews for the 992 have been exceptional, broadly praised as both dynamically and aesthetically successful.
No need contrive conspiracies, This is just the standard aero package making a comeback, nothing out of the ordinary. the 992 with its huge movable wing and wider rear end looks especially good to my eyes in stock form.. the wider front track also gives it a fantastic stance stock.. I'm not a fan of the aero package but historically it has sold well.
The adjustable gooseneck 992 GT3 will be next level.. just remains to be seen whether they add front adjustable aero also to match.

Can't completely tell from the side but that front bumper doesn't look like it's got much of a splitter and that wing looks pretty flat so I wonder how much additional aero this setup will actually provide. At least on the 991 cup aerokit it provided some with a bigger front splitter and that big ducktail/wing. I would take this setup over the new pop uprear wing which I think is fugly when deployed.

PAG is likely trying to capture some of the hype and fervor of the GT products for their non-GT product, especially given the initial backlash over the 992 from some
do you want a GT3 that is going to rattle your filings out, with buckets hard to get in and out, and pay an ADM, and scrape the lip, and no rear seats, and jerky to drive at low speeds to cars and coffee *if* you can find an allocation.... or do you want your cushy 992 with big gulp holder, new fancy tech, easy to buy and spec, *and* you still get the cool looking GT wing

Well, I guess we now know what you get when you mate a winged 991.2 GT3 with a 992 Carrera. I agree with Sam - perhaps this is a niche offering for those who want to look the part of a GT3, but don't want to play the part.

If anyone believes Porsche whipped up the aero kits in a scramble to address any "backlash" is smoking some good stuff. These kits have been ready long before any launch/review/feedback
