Default 991 GT3 Touring - Demanding Higher Pre Owned Values

Folks

Looking for some insight, are the 991 GT3 Touring in Manual - Demanding Higher Pre Owned Values

Right now you can Spec a brand new Touring with PCCB / Axle Lift / Buckets for the following -

Base price:
$143,600
Price for Equipment:
$22,840
Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee
$1,250
Total Price:*
$167,69

Does it make more sense to purchase a brand new example in lieu of a Market Adjusted Pre Owned

I have owned a PDK 991.1 GT3 and did not like the experience without manual, i also felt the 3.8 was under powered. I sold the car after 4 months.

Thank you

The 991 GT3 Touring in PDK commands the highest value.

Btw, welcome to Rennlist. You've kicked things off with a value thread, so my strong suspicion is that you'll fit in here quite nicely.

No, it does not make sense to purchase a brand new car at MSRP vs a pre-owned one with a markup. That would be crazy!!!

If you thought the 3.8 was weak you will also think the 4.0 weak.

Probably not a car for you

Thanks for asking -

997.1 Manual Trans Turbo with Power Mods
I am having a hard time with the next car options, I looked at the Ferrari F12 although its not manual as we are all aware.

I also like the idea of not being scared to work on the car in terms of routine maintenance.
The Ferrari's i have no clue about, i know a brake rotor and pad swap would be similar as they utilize brembo also!

To be quite honest, I am slightly tired of Porsche, i feel the brand has been diluted and they are no longer enthusiasts cars in terms of trading ability and acquiring them. They have become unobtainable to most for the rare models that true enthusiasts actually truly want. I did not like the huge wing on my GT3. it all felt too over the top.

Look at the 997 GT2RS - Prices are upwards of $650k
A lesser GT2 is an an option although you need to change the intercoolers and install a LWFW right after purchasing it to make it driver friendly.

i love the 997 bodystyle, it was easier to canyon carve and even simple tasks such as parking it allowed you to sling your arm over the door and look at the curb.
The 991 body with the high doors and slung drivers position did not allow for this.

The function of the cars is changing and i just do not like it, i liked being able to see out of the quarter windows to see any potential blind spots in my 997 and past 996 turbo.

I am rambling on! i can talk Cars all day long!

If you think these are an appreciating asset, then I have a GT4 to sell you!

Yes.
Not sure there are any more allocations to be had though.

A little hard to understand the question but buying a 3T (new or preowned) is going to come with ADM for the most part although it may be "less" ADM for the preowned option. Whether that's worth it is entirely up to you. If you thought the 3.8 was underpowered then maybe look at a TT option.

I still don't understand the question.

There are no new allocations at MSRP for a GT3T, are there?

Agree with this. There are absolutely no more 991.2 GT3 allocations for MSRP, and it's quite likely there are no more customizable 991.2 GT3 allocations period.

So the question is moot, the OP will not be able to find a customizable build GT3 touring for MSRP.

So to the OP, that is why pre-owned GT3 Tourings are selling for above MSRP, because no more customizable MSRP GT3 touring cars will be built for another 2 years.

I have an old 996.1 GT3 a GT4 and a 2RS coming shortly. These will likely be my last P cars but I do like them. None of them are really all that powerful and for road trips and back country drives I have a 2012 Lambo LP550-2 with a supercharger. A great tool for that job with 760 bhp and 600 lb/ft and not that expensive to keep for an occasional toy.

when you say a 2RS , Do you mean a 991GT2RS ? Or a 991.2 GT3RS ?
Both have plenty of power AFAIK. Anymore and you should look at a jet powered car.
Back to the original post: Any GT car is a pleasure to drive, road or track, that is why they are hard to find with no markup...if all you want is max HP, Look at a Demon, they are cheap in comparison and will lift the front wheels off the ground every launch.
I hope you can find what you wish for.....
