+1, they had it on the site, though admittedly it wasn't immediately noticeable IIRC, you kinda had to sift through the site.

I considered it when I bought my RS4, though given these cars were somewhat a limited run (~2K) and with very few a-la-cart options (essentially just 1 Premium Package), there was not much to personalize. I was able to find one to my liking (incidentally turns out just 1 of 2 in that config) so ended up picking one up that was already here. This was circa 2007, when Audi Exclusive (their version of CXX) was neither popular, nor were you allowed to do much with it (PTS and deviated threads was as far as personalization went in those days).

Correct. A dealer is awarded an extra allocation for a model sold via European deliver. Sell a 911 via ED program, get two 911 allocations back in return.

but not necessarily the same sub-model that was sold in ED

So, if they sell and ED GT2RS, they don’t get an extra allocation for GT2RS....just another 911 allocation according to my sales guy

That is correct. ED on my GT3 and GT3RS did not get my dealer additional GT allocations. They were given choice of any other 911, they went with a Turbo and a Targa GTS.

You get a 24hr head start before the Cartels are alerted of your starting point/time, crossing destination and Spec!
PCCB cars get 48hrs head start

Forget the Stelvio Pass

I hope this trend does not continue on to Porsche where driving is center to their goals and the trips posted on RennList are always dream inspiring drives. Removing that just takes away something special to do with your car!

I look forward to Euro trip reports like OrthoJoe's and Sam Pellegrino's (although Sam's was a bit light on photos...jab jab)

Sure hope PAG doesn't mess with their ED program but continues to offer and promote it. More dealers should actually encourage their customers to do ED instead of focusing on the quick sale. Great way to create buzz about the brand, generate goodwill with clients, and create once in a lifetime memories which is what these cars are all about... next new 911 for me has to be euro delivery or im also buying used/older gen

+1 Ive done 3 Porsche ED's (2 of which were GT3's) and 3 BMW ED's also ... I probably would not get a new Porsche (or BMW) w/o taking ED...

Of course, but BMW wears that with pride (as they should). Audi is no doubt trying to avoid conversations like this:

Audi customer: I would like to take European Delivery of my Q5.
Audi salesman: That is not possible.
Audi customer: Why not?
Audi salesman: The Q5 is not built in Europe.
Audi customer: Oh really? Where is it made?
Audi salesman: Your $50k premium-brand SUV will be made in, um, Mexico.
Audi customer: *walks across the street to Mercedes dealer*

And then the Mercedes dealer tells him that some of the most expensive models are made in Alabama

Isn't that kinda like putting on your best suit to go eat at Chili's?
