Swap RS for GT3 Manual?

I loved my .1 PDK GT3. Fantastic car and I can’t say that I missed the manual. That said, the touring that I have is by far the very best car I’ve ever owned. The level of driver involvement is so increased. The feeling of nailing those up shifts at 9k rpm is sublime. I prefer to heel-toe myself and the response to prods of the gas pedal to match revs is fantastic. Even regular driving is a piece of cake. It’s one of the easiest manual cars I’ve owned too. The clutch is like a mashmallow compared to my 997 and the shifter has a lot more of that rifle bolt feel like a direct linkage gearbox than you would ever think possible of a cable linkage system. Absolutely smitten

Want manual, visceral experience, low depreciation, PTS, thrill at every corner or road... nothing beats this! Plus sunroof and rear seats! You manual guys have no idea what you're missing.

Very personal. I love the wicked fast shifts and “Fuch” (Henry Catchpole used this term first so don’t blame me) sounds with PDK. Very visceral also imho.
But with that that said I do love my mt cars and the involvement of an mt.
There is no right or wrong answer.

I am Haku camp for the reasons he posted earlier. It's the RS for me. Having owned and tracked a 997.2 GT3 and then moved to .1 GT3, I never missed the manual again. Was fortunate to get a .2/3 allocation and specd PDK. Drove a .2/3 manual and while nice was not visceral at all. Not as near engaging as 997.2/3.
Then I drove an RS. Avatar says the rest.

Seriously, if manual is your primary reason for a change, then go 997.2 GT3. More analogue and timeless awesome Mezger engine!

That is my minor gripe with the new car too, everything is so light and smooth. The clutch especially... the GT4 one was light enough, don't know why they made it even lighter in 991.2. Food for thought - is a switch controlled by a pedal still a pedal?

2CV: what a motor?
Brilliant gearbox - rifle bolt quick: great clutch: lovely noise at max revs (which you experience a lot): light as a feather: never, ever, in a million years will you get a speeding ticket: versatile - seats removable for impromptu alfresco meals: hubcaps great as frying pans - tip, let them cool before putting back on the wheel.
Driving experience? Imagine, getting stuck behind a slow bus at say 45mph; you’re raring to overtake with a queue of frustrated drivers behind you. Opportunity to overtake! Give the 2CV it’s head, pedal to the metal. Revs rise; move out... & bang, wind resistance shunts the car three places back in the queue! Oh well, that’s life.
True story, we owned a 2CV in that exact blue colour (you’ll will have quessed by now we are U.K. based): it was our 2nd family car - sold the principle car, a 944 Turbo, & kept the Citroen. Bought another, a number of years later as well, therapy obviously didn’t work.
Engagement paramount: speed/acceleration ephemeral/passé.

I surprised to read that some of those longing for the manual cars and more driver engagement love rev matching? Isn't part of the fun of rowing your own learning to execute the perfect rev match down on a downshift/heel-toe?
I had the rev match on my GT4 and truly disliked it. To each their own I guess.
