Swap RS for GT3 Manual?
#18
I don’t daily drive the RS , but I do drive it often, sometimes to work and when the weather is good. Typically 8 months out of the year. I have about 7,000 miles in two years.
I find that in the city I simply don’t get the feel I had with a manual. I miss the downshifting.
Is driving at slower city speeds more exciting with the manual? My guess is yes! Not to take away from the RS, it is indeed special. Thus, I am torn.
I am curious though above the value currently, is a straight swap a good deal? It seems so.

Yes and this one is perfect,
-more torquey on low and mid range
-6th gear 1000rpm foot down and it goes
-sexy 911 curves (i'll let Calexio traslating what the word tamarro is meaning for)
-play in 2nd gear with the increased torque for a wheels spin
-pdk is good at not legal speed on track or very free desert road
-manual is lighter
thanks to ours 991.1RS and 991R beta testers you will get on 991.2 GT3 the best flat6 N.A. engine and manual trasmission they have ever built after >50years of 911s
and is not a small thing

OP i don't think you can go wrong either way. It is just a matter of what someone prefers. I think best way to know, is try to test drive one then you can decide.
I have read threads here saying the .2 GT3 is better than .1 RS and have read threads that say .1 RS is better.
Some prefer black wheels vs some prefer silver wheels
Some prefer PCCBs vs some prefer iron brakes
Some prefer blondes vs some prefer brunettes
In the end you can't go wrong, you will still be driving a 500 hp high revving GT porsche car

I have a 2015 RS and have done 10000km on track and 7000km on road without a single hiccup. One heck of a ‘beta’ test.

Life is short...
I would do it and then if you realize you want an RS you can always find another

never driven rs...but have driven 15 gt3 Pdk.
i don't track .so I bought a gt3 manual very visceral car .
i never got that with Pdk.
i feel very connected and very raw feeling in the manual box.
very different type of manual.U can really feel it.
