Default Anyone adding a GT500 to the stable?

If I could afford it, I would buy one and add it to my stable (which includes my GT3 and Subaru WRX). Anyone planning on adding the new GT500 to their stable?

Not a fan of superchargers and automatic gearboxes, but otherwise will be big bang for buck!

Yeah, if I'm being honest, I'm a much bigger fan of the GT350, but I LOVE the look of the new GT500. If I could get the engine + transmission of the GT350 with the looks of the GT500, I'd do my best to try and get one. However, I'll NEVER EVER EVER get rid of my GT3; it has my heart and soul.

I agree,

Last thing my gt350 need is more power. Less weiht and better high speed aero would be good.

The next facelift of the GT350 will probably get some of the 500's carbon and aero bits as options...

Not here. Perfectly happy with the FPC 8250rpm Voodoo all-motor and Tremec manual GT350R (mine is the Race Red R).

Plus IMO the GT350 design/style is cleaner and more timeless... less clutter, less tacky as well.

And it's been noted by a Ford Exec already that the GT500 will tip the scales at over 3,800 lbs... we'll find out the official numbers soon I guess.

Oh.... its DCT's rotary shifter from the parts bin is a fail IMO.

It's definitely a beast! Love the new design and boastful hp numbers but the only auto I'll ever own is a PDK. Tragic there is no manual option.

Only if they offer a manual option . Happy with my GT3 manual.

Something tells me Ford will ultimately have to offer a manual in the new GT500. The pushback is pretty loud right now, and I don’t see those groans tapering off any time soon..

Bingo. Can't rule it out just yet.... who knows, maybe a GT500-KR edition with a manual?

Hopefully the Manual Corvette fans will insist on one for the Mid-Engined C8 as well...

Performance bargain and should handle. May be the only one here but I think it's ugly, functional no doubt but ugly all around. Love the GT350 though

Actually I'm pretty sure I read 4,200 lbs somewhere, which does seem like a lot, hard to understand where so much weight is added, but that's the number that was going around recently.

Not a fan to be honest. No flat plane crank. No manual. No updated interior. Supercharger. Heavy. I do think it looks better, but otherwise it does not check many boxes for me. Not to mention ADM will probably push the car north of $100k.

I thought the GT500 was the 5.2 FPC with supercharger added???
