Have been home for a few days, caught up. Looking forward to a quiet evening with these two:

It is time for another walkabout. 1,200 miles in two days brought me to the WEC race at COTA. Followed this guy in. Loudest RS I have heard
Turns out he had an extra ticket which was nice since i had hopped online the night before and it said "sold out".
Owner perhaps on here? Either way, thank you.

Race was super fun. Love the pit walk / access to drivers and cars. Yes, the 991.2 RSR side exhaust isn't quite as delicious sounding as the .1, but it I felt it still as loud, just a different less edgy tone. 488 is whisper quiet in comparison.

After the race, I went into Austin for a beer. They have GT3 shaped parking spots.
The next day, I visited Waco.
After that, ingested several tumble weed while darting across the West Texas Plain.
Sunset was descent.
Number of 911s spotted since leaving DC area (other than at race at Austin): Zero

Whoa, I actually saw your car in parking lot A at COTA! I was among the idiots tailgating in an X5M a few spots over as I didn't want to break up the Porsche parking. I hope you had a great time at the WEC event. Wasn't the best outcome for us Porsche fans, but a great event nonetheless.

Looks like you found some spots around Congress Ave., I'm happy to offer up a few suggestions if you ever drive through here again. Safe travels to your next destination.

Well done! Great pics and welcome back to Texas. Its so fine to get out on the open road for an extended period in these cars! I am looking forward to my next road trip. Waiting to hear where my son decides to go to college and plan on weaving it in with all of that this summer. Congrats on another great run and racking up some more miles of smiles.

He's gotta be in Arizona - he was heading for NM Monday morning so I would guess he's in Arizona or SoCal by now...
