Default GT3 Touring

Is there a reason Porsche makes the regular GT3 in a PDK, but you cannot get the GT3 touring in PDK? Thanks in advance!

Sort of along the same lines as RS coming in PDK only.

Porsche is trying to imply that Touring is for driving enjoyment and Manual suits that better, while RS is for track (where they are saying PDK suits that better).

In reality, I think Manual is awesome on Track (both in raw performance and enjoyment) and I know plenty of people who really enjoy driving PDK on the road (and Track).

I think it’s easier and less expensive in R&D and certification to offer a single transmission per model for Porsche...

I think it just helps delineate between the 500 different configuration of the 911 Porsche produces.

To smack down the 911R flippers.

Woodranch, you're going to be in a GT3 soon.

As AP said it himself, "Porsche is not a hedge fund", and this was one way to demonstrate that to the R speculators...

I am glad they offered the GT3 touring which I was able to buy .. I tried my best to get a 911R allocation I kinda thought I should have .. I mean I bought 6 new high option Porsches from my dealer in the last 5 years ... and I was number 1 on their list but my dealer never received an allocation for 911R... but I did get offered a GT3 at list and held out till the GT3 touring was offered then put in my order as soon as they came up on the configurator... I picked the car up at the Atlanta delivery center and I Drove the car home yeah thats right I am actually driving my car and I plan to keep it ..no offer would get it from me I was offered a GT3RS allocation in exchange for my GT3 but I kept my touring...has maybe 2000miles on it since august ....right now it will stay in my stable for a long time....
NEXT I really want the speedster this week was offered a GT2RS that my dealer got as a bonus but it is already built they want want 100k over sticker not for me ....I think if the car was designed to sell for 100k over sticker PORSHE would add 100k to the price... time will if I go for this car but never paid over sticker and would rather have a speedster cause it has the same engine as the GT3 which has a glorious sound
