Premier Protective Films in Fremont removed decal and reinstalled.

Yes, if you ppf over matte decals they will turn glossy. Hence, I removed the factory decals, then PPFed, and then bought original decals from Suncoast to go back on over the PPF. Looks perfect. The only decal I left on was the hood decal and when we PPFed over it, it didn't change the look.

I would highly recommend visiting Albert at Protective Film Solutions Nor Cal in Fremont. Fantastic work and unbeatable customer service. He has my highest recommendation, and has now completed two cars for me. And when you see the level of the other cars in his facility, you will know this is the right place.

Do you happen to have any pictures? I'm debating exactly this with the GT3RS side decals in matte on a GTSM car.

Seems the only downside is the halo effect and the matte becoming gloss?
