Yup... this state is effed and nobody seems to care. The state will definitely be all electric, with the exception of the lucky few who have friends in high places that will give them a permit to own and operate their vehicles... basically like how they treat CCW.

It’s gotta be in part for all those diesel guys modding their trucks to blow the black smoke.

I get why this is a big deal due to the fine and inspection etc. But why do people think frequency of enforcement will increase versus current fix-it ticket rates?

Someone above mentioned the limit is 95db isn't the OEM GT3 muffler system is well over that? Track Nanny might come in handy if one is pulled over for sound.

You can have a loud exhaust in California.....if you're an illegal alien. Otherwise, you'll have to abide by the law.

I'll tell you what though, Gavin Newsome will be the next president. That guy is so slick, silver tongued, good looking etc, the left will eat that guy up.

I was thinking the same thing. The Huracan/SVR crowd is screwed if CHP is actually going to enforce this.

The root cause of the bigger problem is a lack of population control and no politician is willing to address that hot potato. We're on a ship with no capabilities for refuelling.

Oh no! Life is over! LOL! So what; this just forces manufacturers to make higher quality exhaust and helps reduce the overall amount of carbon that gets thrown into the air (given that less people will be willing to drive a car without cats). You can still get a decent SharkWerks exhaust and abide by the law; calm down everyone.

The law states DB violations as able to fine, so no...you can't do that Sharkwerks exhaust on a GT3 and expect to remain ticketless...

The only way you are abiding by this law with a sharkwerks exhaust is by never going over 3k rpm.

...So if your stock RS with the loud button tests over 95DB you can get a fine?
