Default Is a GT3 Touring Convertible Coming?

As the title asks is there a touring convertible coming?

Given the launch of the 992 and the speedster and the next batch 3RS production still in the pipeline, it doesn’t seem likely but I recall pictures and theorists months ago. Were those pics just Speedster mules?

Thank you

I surely hope not. That would be a travesty.

The Speedster does not look good with GT3 design and cab could be the same or worse...

All subjective.....doesn't flow well....all other cabs look better but GT3 engine performance but really an investment gift..

Probably very subjective. I think the fact a Touring/manual exists is a travesty, but here we are.

It would be so easy to have many more variants. If it pleases customers, why not make them? As seen by the Touring, it doesn't need to make sense. I don't think you can dilute the brand any further, and even if you do a little, so what? People will still fight to buy one and even pay ADMs.

Anyway, a convertible anything is pretty cool in my eyes.

I rather have a GT3 cab than a speedster. That being said, I don’t see them making a cab and I assume the mule we saw was just a mule before they sorted out the speedster top.

I doubt it because the speedster is basically that.

Well, as a counterpoint. Everyone said the 911R would be the absolute last of the breed, then they did the manual and touring essentially destroying the value of the R. I can see the same happening here. Introduce the limited Speedster and then the touring cab.

Agree, though the way Porsche is watering down the GT brand, it wouldn't surprise me. Not as bad as ///M and AMG, but on the road.

I am not in favor of a convertible GT car, but what watering down has occurred so far? A GT3 without a fixed wing? That doesn’t offend me...

I guess if the Speedster is a GT car, then we already crossed that line - is it a GT car??

How has the GT brand been watered down, rather it's been proliferated across R, Touring, GT3, GT3RS, GT2RS and soon to be Speedster. No way AP and crew are dumb'ing down the product. The Touring, 100% GT ethos
The new AMG '43' series cars and BMW ///M Performance models - now that's watering down.
