991.2 GT3 vs 991.1 GT3RS- which is better buy right now?

Honestly, it totally depends on the owner's intended use.
Porsche is on their game. I can come up with reasons why any combination of trans/wing/3/2/RS is the best for a given buyer's use. They are all awesome and all have their pros/cons. Porsche really is making a GT for almost every customer. Only combos I see as possibly missing are manual RS and back seats.

Interested in getting 911 GT car- difficult time deciding between 991.2 GT3 vs 991.1 GT3RS. Previous GT cars have included GT4 and 991.1 GT3.
Price range is $160-170k ideally and have seen some .1 3rs for 170-180 with 6-10k miles.
Will do 3-4 track days a year with the car. Car will primarily be weekend car and my cars are driven. Plan to keep 2-3 years.
what is the better buy? For those that have had both, can you please describe the driving dynamics Of each one? How does exhaust and audible notes differ ? What is faster?
thanks for your input

.2 gt3 touring pdk. Lol
QUOTE=A/S;15565392].2 GT3 PDK not interested at all.
.2 GT3 Manual not interested at all.
.2 GT3 Touring PDK not interested at all.
.2 GT3 Touring manual, perfection as a street car, if you are into mostly street driving (which a high percentage of GT3 owners end up doing). This is what a classic 911 with a modern power train should be.
991 R, The One, I think it is the best street Porsche made in decades.
For performance driving (Hill climbs, time trials, track days), any 991 with RS at the end of the name. Heavy downforce cars are sublime on high speed braking and high speed turns, a better experience.[/QUOTE]

I have not picked it up yet as i am traveling, can't wait to see it in person and drive the hell out of it

Nordschleife Master
Radio delete, zero option
The world famous Trakcar has done laps in it.....as well as Chris Harris
Just a few dents in the flares from taking out track out cones
Back on topic thou......
If you have the option of buying 991.1 or 991.2, pick the 991.2 in any variant if you plan on driving it
The motor has all of the gremlins of the 991.1 fixed, oiling, solid lifters....the motors on the two cars are apples and oranges internally. They may provide similar driving experience and HP.....but once is ticking louder than the other

For me, the Touring is all i wanted to achieve my 911 dreams but when i found a .1 RS with less than 1,900 miles on it for $30k less than a Touring, i had to jump on it.
The decision also was made easy since the touring was not to my exact spec (no buckets and did not want the red interior stitching {gt3 i just sold after owning for almost 3 years has red stitching wanted a change}).
The .1 RS already has full PPF and light tint so made sense, previous owner also installed a back up camera
Here is my PANDA RS
I am currently on vacation, so will pick it up when back in the meantime getting some mods put on it
@OP ~ what did you end up going for?
