I didn't inquire but that seems excessive! Michelin has raised prices 8-10% since the Fall though. I hope they don't continue to increase it prior to March!

Enjoy! They are nice and sticky.

We ran a set on track at Spa during Euro delivery in September. Conditions were on & off rain with 6 sessions total, 4 were dry/drying in 60* temps. It's winter here in MN now, but the time we had on the Cup 2Rs was awesome. Up to temp quick, tons of grip, and were consistent all day. Not to mention the 800miles of driving to and from Spa from Germany in the rain. We're looking forward to seeing how these do over the course of a weekend and beyond.

Please report how these work out for you guys, GMG.

Well although Auto Club Speedway is a less than ideal track to test tires due to the lack of high speed corners, I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the new Michelin Cup 2 R tire on the GT2RS. The conditions were suspect and the track was damp for most of the weekend but nonetheless the car and tire performed great. Without a doubt the tire has more overall grip but I think the platform needed to be stiffer (sway bars to start) and more camber to truly exploit the characteristics of the tire. I plan to head to Thermal to try these tires on a GT3RS so I should have more data to pull from that event as I will get more track time and without passengers.

Here are some pics from the track day.....
