Test held at the Dutch Assen circuit which rewards HP and the ability to carry lots of corner speed. The GT3 RS came in 3rd behind the Performante and the Pista which was 4.5 secs faster than the RS in a single lap!
The individual laps are interesting to watch. Down the back straight alone the Pista was almost 30kph faster.

Impressive but i would like to know if that Ferrari came from the factory or an owner’s garage.

Over 4 seconds a lap faster????? I call BS. Somethings rotten in Denmark. First question. Who here thinks the 2 RS would be over 4 seconds a lap faster????? I'll start. Not me.
At nearly twice the price they still have to cheat.
Context:
488 Pista: Base price $350K. Weight 3000lbs. Engine V8TT. 710 hp and over 500 ft/tq. ?
Perf. Base Price $275K. Weight 3000. Engine V12. 610 hp. 440 ft./tq and AWD!
RS. Base price $187K. Weight 3200. Engine Boxer 6. 520 hp. 364 ft/tq.
Now in that light based on price power and weight who out performed who?

3rd Place is respectable but for the money- if you can get at MSRP the GT3RS rocks
I still do not buy the Pista time but there were some long straight aways that would favor the higher HP. I bet at a smaller more technical track the times would be different.

Seems clear. The faster sweeping circuits (2+ miles) belong to the high hp, slippery aero cars. Shorter circuits (less than 2 miles) favor the RS where it's strong points downforce, corner turn in and exit talents and handling can shine and they are all neck and neck. Perf's AWD is also an advantage.
As Jimmy said for the money the RS kicks butt. Pista will likely retain value as with all the special performance edition Ferrari's. Perf will be about $60K less to buy this time next year. I will lose about $10K or so on a trade in 3 years from now on new RS.

Not surprised the Pista is faster on this track with long straight sections. You can see around the corners the Pista is looser than both the Huracan Performante and the 3 RS. Too bad there is no 2 RS in this test.
The truth is (without racing regulations), Pista /Performante and 3RS don't belong in the same class of cars. The HP and torque difference is unfavorable to 3 RS's overall performance. The 2 RS should be compared with Pista and Performante not 3 RS.

It’s a win to see mags even throwing the 3RS in with cars costing $150k more. Speaks volumes for the respect the 3RS garners.
The times the RS threw down are impressive and within spitting distance of the AWD 620 hp Perf on longer circuits and right there on the shorter circuits with both.
Damn impressive!

To be fair, most of the cars on that list cost less than the Pista and the Performante. In fact, the 3RS is the third most expensive car on that list.

Waxer is hilarious... God forbid another car challenges the 3RS then time to wax poetic on how the 3RS greatest thing since sliced bread
All great cars, impressive to see the Pista's time but if running the CupR tire then maybe not comparing apples to apples

But I believe the Performante was using Trofeo R tires, which in many respects are actually stickier than the Cup 2R tires.
