^^^^ Wish I had the nuts to wring the performance out of a $440K car. Was just offered a WP, mag wheel, Maritime Blue GT2RS. While the price alone is enough to make me choke even if I could get past that what am I going to do with it? There's ZERO chance I'm going to feel comfortable pushing it on the track.

I'm basing it on the fact that it's a performance enhancing option that was offered on their highest performing car. A car that was launched with that option.

But I get it - Porsche extended production of the 2RS into 2019 but still wanted a certain number of 3RSs to be in the NA market with mag wheels. They made the decision to de-prioritize the 2RS to achieve that.

Your SR3 is probably more fun on the track anyhow. I do miss mine and the intense competition offered by the series. I may step back in with a 1500 in the future.....

I heard the availability of the mag wheels on the 3RS was like the PTS window. It was on (available), then it was off (unavailable). Depending on when you ordered the 3RS, you may or may not have the mag wheels. That tells me there is still some type of shortage for these mag wheels considering you were not able to configure your 2RS with mag wheels.

Drive safe,

Seems irrational given the differences in base price and the fact that they were shown on the launch car, as well as being installed on press cars. If anything, I feel they should have been exclusive to the 2RS, or at least give priority until the final order was in.

which basically means that, like PTS, the mag wheels situation is horribly mismanaged.

No doubt and part of the reason is not being afraid of an off that scuffs the car a bit.

Doesn’t matter to Porsche whether 2rs or 3rs, we both pay the same 13k. I agree that 2rs should get priority but am happy that P decided to offer for 3rs

Alright guys I’m headed out of town again for a few weeks so here is the early February update. There have only been 18 NA 3RS built this month. For comparison there were 290 built in July, and 750 built in Q4 2018.

Luckily BBS isn't shackled by the supplier contract they have with Porsche and are still able to offer a Magnesium option in the aftermarket circles. I have helped many on the forums that missed out on the Mag wheels get what they want. In-stock ready to rock & roll - https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...-boutique.html

latest lock date in NA we’ve heard of is still early March. Unlikely North America will receive any more allocations however Europe should be receiving more.

Got news from the Porsche Dealer.
My build had been delayed on October.
He had a slot coming on end of June, and gave it to me on oder not to miss the track season.

So, it is confirmed for end of June, with mag wheels and carbon wp.

yes, 3RS production will run through June or even later for Europe but unlikely North America will have any build dates past April. Also keep in mind production is now very slow, PAG only built 18 3RS for NA last month.

Are they pulling back builds because they see the market is softening?
