CJ, what are your thoughts on the F12 vs 3RS? I will be keeping the MT GT3, and thinking to add a 3RS in the future. But tge F12 is tempting.

YES the F12 will depreciate but the better way to look at it:
How much will it cost to enjoy the car for the next XX months? 40k? 50? 75?
If an F12 was a 150k car I'd buy it in a heartbeat. By the time the cars get to that price range I think that's a while to go- but if it has 4-5k miles and you throw 10k miles extra on it in 18 months you will have LIVED and enjoyed it.
Its a regular car you can take on trips. Its pretty. It could use a cat back exhaust for more aggressive noises.
It is not a track car. The steering is different. It has a lot more buttons to play with. People will assume you are a jerk, people will assume you are a millionaire philanthropist.
If I was single, an F12 would be a better date car than an RS. Since I'm married its a better daily/ "drive to the coast with the wife" car.

I think you are on the right track! It will complement your touring really nicely. The sound is pretty incredible. A cold start in an f12 or an 812 is an event! There is a big inventory out there and prices have come waaay down so you can be picky too- which is great. The comments regarding gas mileage were made in jest.....but no joke you kinda have to be aware of where gas stations are if you are going for a long drive!

BUT it’s super quite inside so unless you have the windows down you can’t really enjoy the V12.

Three Wheelin'
why not a Lusso?
for the price range of an F12 you are closer to Lusso than FF
Interior is much nicer, RWS, infotainment more up to date, second screen for passenger, more years of warranty and of the 7 year service plan, etc
Eric (3 posts above) traded his 458 for GTC last year, so he can answer questions on that

I had an F12 for ~7 months and drove around 7000 miles (daily as well as weekend drives). I loved it! The V12 engine is truly special. The car is relatively compact but looks bigger than it is. The suspension moves around a bit more as you would expect from a grand tourer. Compared to a 458 Italia and 488 GTB, I agree with CJ and would pick the F12. I used a similar calculation as what CJ mentioned. It costs me around $12 per miles (averaged across the 458, F12, and 488 totaling ~15K miles). For me, it was worth it. I was about to finalized on the 812 and 488 Pista but decided to enjoy Porsche cars. The Ferrari experience is great but I’d rather retire sooner (I’m not in a position to do both).

Almost bought a triple layer paint used F12. Bailed due to finding out about paint corrosion issues around rear mesh grills that the cars are prone to. Search fchat and you will see it can affect up to 50% of cars... Decided to stick with 458

I forgot about the paint corrosion issues... Definitely something to remember.

This. Owned one for a brief time and enjoyed the drive but traded for a 458 due to concerns about these corrosion issues.

Suggest you take one for a test drive and it will all become really clear. I have an F12 Tdf and the car is absolute magic. A beautiful beast. The aesthetic, the sound, the build quality, the brutal power. It is addictive. Many well-spec'd F12s on the market now at reasonable prices.
