Had not seen the running change to offer WP hood in exterior color. Smart move on Porsche's part.

don’t understand why folks don’t save the $9K for ceramics go with the no cost irons and then upgrade to the AP set up. Almost as light as ceramics with better performance, engineering and features. Almost 2 complete sets of brakes for the price of one set of ceramics!

The flip side of the equation
$9K option
$20K part over the counter
Seems like a great value

While AP's are great... and 'overall weight' similar... the 'reciprocating mass' is still considerably heavier. If you can afford it... PCCB is the best setup you can run. While many seem to now switch to the AutoQuest Ceramic setup... I'd still bet you could get a year out of the OEM (even TrakCar ) and then switch to them... and retain a bit more resale value. when returning to stock.

I do think on 'some cars'... the Red brakes look good, but on 'most cars'... the Yellow Calipers look best IMO.

Best Regards,
Dave

Unless you plan on driving the car as intended, on track. Then it becomes a 9k option with a 20k wear item.

As intended ? It's a streetcar first then a track car. 9K for PCCB's will get you a track season, then switch over to another option If cost is an issue. The initial option is really a good deal.

No doubt it’s a good deal.

I optioned pccb on my gt4. After one season they were more than 50% worn. For me, as many days as I do steel is much better decision or the sst ceramics.

And for me, it’s a track car that I can drive on the street to the track. I don’t want to mess with a trailer.

I think AP said it best in an interview recently - steel for the track, pccb for the street.

Just seems off to me as the aurum wheel color seems more prevalent than just 20 cars. I know a poll here is far from representative but doesn’t hurt as people can participate if they wish and not if they don’t.
I think I have seen at least 20 pics of rennlister's cars, including mine optioned with aurum color wheels

there's two types of people in this world.

People who order Ceramic brakes because they want yellow calipers.............and.................dirty F'ing liars

People say the ceramics are better on the track, yet track people want steel because of costs to replace ect ect

I ordered ceramics

No three types

I'm the type that likes red calipers and retrofits ceramics

Ceramic is better in all ways, but takes a bigger budget

Look sinister- nicely done
