OT: Distractions and Priorities of Discretionary Spending VERSUS GT3RS
Ok guys, I'm frankly a little sick of how this topic clicks itself into all these other categories...bikes, watches, leasing an exotic, vacations, suits, private air travel...
so lets hear it for real.
Option A: 80%+ your discretionary spending goes into Home (counting on vacation property, home improvements, man cave type stuff, garage mahals, etc) and Car Related categories, leaving 20% for the vacations or watches etc etc
Option B: 50-79% of your discretionary spending goes into Home and Car Related categories
Option C: 26-49% of your discretionary spending goes into HCR
Option D: 10-25% of your discretionary spending goes into HCR
Option E: you wear a turtleneck, clip coupons, drive a q5 in florett silver and spend money on subscriptions to Excellence Magazine and wax your 928 once a week, arguing in subsitute for calling your family.
Option F: 100% of discretionary income and then some is spent on cars and more cars and racing cars and track days and insurance
Option G: I'd rather not discuss in a dedicated thread, but ruin commentary on the GT3RS and competing cars in the market because my job is to tell everyone how to spend
I ALWAYS DRIVE FLAT OUT #RIPCHINSPOILERS
so lets hear it for real.

I don't really spend anything on watches, clothes, bikes, etc and budget about 20k total for vacations and wasting time away from work. So I'm option A for sure. I definitely don't need the 7-8 cars but I love having the options to track my mono, or dirt buggie the raptor.

well because it's fun, and unlike a watch or a bicycle you can sit inside it when it's raining and it makes fun noises. that's why I do it. you guys can start a watch thread if you want here. I'm personally not into watches as much as cars so if the opportunity to waste money on a good car presents itself...out comes my wallet.

I still voted A.

Have had plenty of different bikes (I won't define which kind), still do, but focus more time on four wheels.

I do not have time to spend more money on cars, so until I take a plunge with racing, it's a small % for me. Tracking a GT3 is not that expensive. Really the only big money item is tires, and everything else is peanuts. On the other hand, traveling with 2 kids and only during peak season (because that's when they are not in school) is super-pricey, and there is no way around it. I do not like any other expensive stuff - no watches or other jewelry, because I do not understand the appeal, just travel, fancy food, and cars. Renting cars for track days in Europe bumped up the budget a bit this year, but it's still a small expense compared to renting a house at Whistler or in Hawaii during a school break.
Oh, and the car in the photo came out without any damage nor even a scratch on the chin spoiler :-).
