Question GT Car Battery Tender

Hey guys,
Wondering what battery tender y'all are using on your GT cars. I have the Porsche brand one for my GT4 but i was told they are no longer making it. I need one for for my new GT2 RS for winter storage!
Thanks!

Check out the CTEK MSX 5.0 Battery Tender. The tender will come with leads that you can connect directly to the battery terminals, or you can also purchase a cigarette plug adapter that plugs into the cigarette plug in your center console. CTEK is the company who makes the OE battery tenders for Porsche.

I use the CTEK MUS4.3 w/CLA and extension for my 2RS and GT3, among other non P-cars. Works great and costs much less than the Porsche version.

They no longer make it?

https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/CHARGER2.html

Or, you could just use a CTEK version. I have used the 3300 on all my P-cars since 2015 with no issues whatsoever.

People have been saying that in the newest Porsche's the cigarette lighter feature no longer works. The computer turns it off after 15 minutes or so...

My GT3 was produced in September '18 and the cigarette lighter works just fine.

I only drive my car on weekends and leave it plugged-in in between. Battery can last a very long time.

I believe you should always use one... unless maybe 'daily driven'... the battery tenders really extend the life of the battery.

Best Regards,

Our TBM Aircraft Owners Association did a very extensive 2 year analysis to find the BEST
Battery Charger for our very expensive batteries. We found the Battery MINDer to be far
superior than all the others we tested.. This unit will charge the battery, maintain it at the
correct voltage and Desulfate the plates of any battery which has been depleted.
The Model 2012 12 Volt 2 Amp Charger-Maintainer-Desulfator is $89.95 and can be
ordered directly from www.batteryminders.com or by telephone (800) 379-5579.
It can be connected indefinitely since it it is guaranteed to never overcharge the battery.
I have attached the included battery cable direct to my GT3 and TTS batteries making it
convenient to recharge and desulfate the battery during extended periods of non-use.

I also have found the cigarette lighter connection of my 2018 GT3 differs from my 2014 GT3
as it will eventually disconnect from the battery over time.

Thanks for the tip. BTW, reading the description of the model #2012, it says to use this #2012-AGM version if you have an AGM battery (I think some new Porsches including GT models may have AGM batteries):
