take it for what its worth, which is just the time it takes you to read this. I'm a big Z guy. have had severals, most recently a fully track prepped 370z, and still have an 86. I have had on the P side, a 991.1 C2S PDK, 991.1 C2S 7MT, GT-4 and now a 99/12 GT3.
After I bought the first S, I got the second about 7 months later. Not for the transmission, but because the base seats killed my back. That being said, I thought I was happy with the PDK, but when I went to a simlar manual (sport + seats), the entire driving experience was transformed. To me, the PDK S felt kind of like driving any regular luxury sports sedan. The manual transformed it to an entirely different car. Got the GT4 last december and loved it. Would have kept it for a long time if I didn't get a GT3 allocation at MSRP offered to me, but since I did, I now have the GT3 6MT. Only have about 200 miles on it so far, but it is an absolutely amazing car, and I really can't see myself getting anything else. I do plan to DD my GT3 about half the time, but I only drive 40 miles to work 4-6 times per month.
TLDR. to me, the manual transmission totally transforms these cars if they are not going to be regularly tracked. Very engaging. If you don't want to pay ADM, get the .2 GTS and I'm sure you will be really happy. Otherwise, if you want the PDK, get a CPO turbo with the unlimited mile warranty.

I love manual too, but have a Z4 M Coupe that is great to rip around for when i have the itch to bang some gears.
It would make more sense to sell the Z4MC if i were to get something like a 991. GT3 Manual, but i want to keep it
