servicing centerlock wheels
Snap on makes a four foot long torque wrench that can also be a breaker bar for servicing center lock wheels but it is impractical to cart around in the car. Cromwell tools makes a take apart torque wrench to tighten the center lock nuts and it will "kind of fit" in the trunk diagonally but it is not recommended as a breaker bar to remove the nuts. There are torque multipliers on the market etc. So the question what do you use and do you carry a ton with you in the car

Since replacement tires arent so easy to find on weekends or late at night, i carry this when on anything beyond 30 miles.
Boulder Tools - 56 Pc Heavy Duty Tire Repair Kit For Car, Truck, RV, Jeep, ATV, Motorcycle, Tractor, Trailer. Flat Tire Puncture Repair Kit
Not a long term fix but may get me home.

This is the torque wrench and breaker bar you need. It fits perfectly in the Frunk of a Porsche. Also get the Center Lock Alignment tool from SmokinGTS if you have PCCB especially.

I had a old jack handle(2 pieces), cut the end off to use as an extension for a standard breaker bar.

Carry this wrench when on long trips as it works also as a breaker bar just in case you destroy a tire. I recently needed mine on an extended trip when I got a flat. You can always remove a wheel and take it to a tire shop for repair. Without the tool you are going to the dealer on a flatbed.

LOL...no...but if you have a flat and the Road Side Assistant guy comes...then you just might be able to get the tire shop to plug or patch the tire and you will need this torque wrench because no Roadside Assistance will have one...BUT...they or the tire shop will have a jack for sure.

In most cases the goo will get you to a tire shop, with the wrench you are good to go. If you destroy the tire you are SOL, you will still need the wrench when the flatbed arrives at the tire shop.

All you really need is a breaker bar. One fits perfectly along the side of the passenger seat, next to the door.
If needed in an emergency, just use the emergency procedure for estimating the torque.

Why aren't more people using a torque multiplier?

I am frequently driving in remote mountains. I always have this:

We use a TQ Multiplier in a shop environment. Being gear driven means as long as your primary TQ wrench is accurate there is no way to introduce additional error's with the multiplier. Just ensure you have a high quality TQ wrench and have its calibration checked regularly.

Send your 1/2" drive torque wrench along with your torque multiplier out for calibration. All I cared about was the torque required for the wheel nuts. I'm using a 6:1 multiplier which makes it really easy. Also, get a quality multiplier.
